Hiram Mack Roland, 63, passed away at Arlington Memorial Hospital in Arlington, TX on June 26, 2004.
He was born in Bowie, TX on October 17, 1941 to Bob Roland and Mavis King Roland. He graduated from Bowie High School and lived in Bowie eighteen years before moving to Arlington. Mack was a inspector for General Motors. He served in the U.S. Army and worked for General Motors 32 years. He was baptized into the First Christian Church at a very young age. He was married to his wife Joan in 1989 in Las Vegas, NV.
Survivors include: his wife, Joan Roland of Arlington, TX; two sons, Fred Mew of Euless, TX and Jeff Mew of Fort Worth, TX; three daughters, Judy Schaffer of Houston, TX, Julie Galier of Arlington, TX and Jamie Dugger of Cleburne, TX; eleven grandchildren; and one great grandchild; his mother, Mrs. Mavis Vandenberg of Bowie; one brother, Kent Roland of Bowie, TX; three sisters, Sherry Earnheart of Rockwall, TX, Kristi Hand of Bowie, TX and Kathi Gilmore of Bowie, TX.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Roland and one brother, Don Roland.
Services were on Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. at First Freewill Baptist Church of Bowie with Rev. Larry Cox officating. Fry Funeral Home of Bowie directed the service. Interment followed in Elmwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Damon Earnheart, Jacob Roland, Tommy Roland, John Earnheart, Shane Gilmore, Bobby McKinley, Darwin McKinley and Monty Cooper. Honorary pallbearers were Wilburn Gilmore, Tommy Roland, Jeff Mew, Mike Roland and General Motors friends.
Viola Bell Breeden...
Viola Bell Breeden, age 63 of Bowie, TX passed away June 27, 2004 in the Bowie Memorial Hospital in Bowie, TX.
Ms. Breeden was born January 8, 1941 in Thalia, TX to Viola Thompson and W.A. Breeden. She worked as a Nurses Aide for Horizon Manor and for Belmire Nursing Home for ten years until her health would not allow it.
Funeral services for Ms. Breeden were held Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Scott-Morris Chapel. Interment was at Montague Cemetery under the direction of Scott-Morris Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: one sister, Lula Hudson, Bowie, TX; two brothers, Johnnie and Jimmie Breeden, both of Montague, TX; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Casket bearers included: her nephews and great nephews - Dale Breeden, Billy Brisco, Edward Merritt, Bill Merritt, Phillip Merrit and Ed Merritt.

Elmer Ray Allison, age 65, of Bellevue, TX passed away June 17, 2004 at the Faith Community Hospital in Jacksboro, TX.
Mr. Allison was born August 29, 1938 in Dean, TX. He was a Road Foreman for Clay County Precinct 3 from January 1983 to December 1986.
Funeral services for Mr. Allison were held Monday, June 21, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. at the Bellevue First United Methodist Church with Rev. Lewis Ray Sleeth officiating. Interment was at the Bellevue Cemetery under the direction of Fry Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: one son, Bennie Allison, Iowa Park, TX; one daughter, Lisa Allison, Bellevue, TX; two brothers, Buster, Allison, Bowie, TX and George Allison, Henrietta, TX; two sisters, Eules Jean Jones, Bellevue, TX and Fay Harrison, Bellevue, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Allison in 1987 and one brother, James Allison in 2002.

Marie Pickett, age 82, of Bowie, TX passed away June 20, 2004 in the Bowie Memorial Hospital in Bowie, TX.
Mrs. Picket had been a resident of the surrounding area for 78 years. She accepted her Lord and Savior when she was fourteen years old and has been a member of Southside Baptist Church in Bowie since 1973. She worked eleven years as a nurses aide at Bellmire Healthcare and more than eleven years at Gibson’s Discount Center before retiring in 1990.
Funeral services for Mrs. Pickett were held Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darious McKay officiating. Interment was at the Newport Cemetery under the direction of Fry Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: one son, Gary Pickett, Bowie, TX; one daughter, Peggy Hamilton, Bowie, TX; seven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; one brother, Billy McGee, Montague, TX; and two sisters, Elena Tackett and Betty Jones, both of Fort Worth, TX.

Joyce Marie Shaw, age 64, of Bowie, TX passed away June 28, 2004 in Bowie, TX.
Mrs. Shaw was born February 28, 1940 in Decatur, TX to Lester and Louise Garrett Neighbors. She married Darrel Shaw on June 25, 1959 in Alvord, TX and worked for Shaw’s Plumbing of Bowie, their family business. She displayed resilience and generosity throughout her life, which was centered around her family. She was a devoted wife for forty-five years and remained a loving, caring mother and grandmother until her death.
Funeral services for Mrs. Shaw were held Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at Lighthouse Assembly of God church with Reverends Greg Newton and Dave Maher officiating. Interment was in Alvord Cemetery under the direction of White Family Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: her husband, Darrel Shaw, Bowie, TX; children, Shelly Richey and her husband, David, Bowie, TX, Mike Shaw and his wife, Jeannette, Bowie, TX, Greg Shaw and his wife, Candy, Bowie, TX; one brother, Melton Neighbors and his wife Cookie, Alvord, TX; two sisters, Loyce Garrett and her husband, Pat, Alvord, TX and Helen Yale and her husband, Marion, Alvord, TX; mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. L.V. Shaw, Bowie, TX; sister-in-law, Vickie Waldrip and her husband, Loyd, Bowie, TX; and eight grandchildren.

Nannie Elizabeth Parr, age 95, of Wichita Falls, TX passed away June23, 2004.
Ms. Parr was born May 31, 1909 in Spanish Fort, TX to Mary Pricilla Gossett and William Milton Crownover. She was active in the Home Demonstration organization and a strong supporter of 4H in Montague County. She worked very hard to get the Farm Bureau organized in Montague County. She was a Baptist and a member of the Eastern Star.
Funeral services for Ms. Parr were held Saturday, June 26, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. at the Scott Morris Chapel with David Crownover and Adrian Hill officiating. Interment was at the Nocona Cemetery under the direction of Scott Morris Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: one sister-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
