Asalene Lovelady, age 90, of Bellevue, TX passed away March 9, 2004 in the Bowie Memorial Hospital in Bowie, TX.
Mrs. Lovelady was born September 8, 1913 near Allen, TX to Pearl Wetsel and Walter C. Scroggins. They moved to Gunsight, TX and then at about the age of 5, she moved with her parents and brother to Bellevue, Clay County, TX. She went to school at Victoria School House, north of Bellevue and to the 9th grade in Bellevue School. She married Franklin Lovelady on May 5, 1933 in Waurika, OK. The lived in Wichita Falls, TX and Bellevue, TX. and attended Free Will Baptist Church in Wichita Falls, Bowie and Buffalo Springs. They retired in Bellevue, TX joining the First Baptist Church where she was a member.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lovelady were held Thursday, March 11, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Bellevue, TX with Rev. Robert Slayton officiating. Interment was at the Bellevue Cemetery under the direction Fry Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: her daughter, Carolyn Sue Reed, Bellevue, TX; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Maggie Catherine Tims, Wichita Falls, TX and Myrtle Beatrice Lanier, Vega, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Lovelady on February 20, 1996; her parents, Walter and Pearl Scroggins; one brother, W.C. “Bud” Scroggins; and one sister, May Rhoades.

Inez Rowan, 67, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2004 in Wichita Falls, TX.
She was born May 26, 1936 in Montague County to Bee and LaNora Hollingsworth Flowers. She married M.L. Rowan on June 15, 1955 in Bowie, TX. Mrs. Rowan was a homemaker.
Survivors include: one son, Joey Rowan and wife Susan of Rhome, TX; one daughter, Geneva Thomas of Bowie, TX; two brothers, Virgil Flowers of Boyd, TX and B.F. Flowers of Frisco, CA; three sisters, Violet Cornelsion of Howe, TX, Faye Nivens of Alvord, TX, Mary Chadwick of Bowie, TX; two grandchildren, three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, March 14, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church in Bowie with Dr. Larry Cox officiating. Interment followed in Brushy Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of White Family Funeral Home.

Fleitman...
Anna Clara (Mages) Fleitman, 98,of Muenster, TX, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2004 at Muenster Memorial Hospital.
She was born January 23, 1906 in Westphalia, Iowa to Frank Mages, Sr. and Anna (Rueschenberg) Mages. She married John Fleitman on September 12, 1933 at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church in Lindsay, TX. She cleaned houses, cared for children and sat with patients in the hospital. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and St. Anne’s Society.
Survivors include: her sons, Alvin Fleitman and Leon Fleitman, both of Lindsay, TX; James Fleitman of SAint Jo; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Yosten of Muenster and Jane Kinsey of Baton Rouge, LA; one brother, Eddie Mages of Gainesville, TX.
Mrs. Fleitman was preceded in death by her husband, John; one son, Frank Fleitman, three sisters, Dora Berend, Celie Berend and Mary Grewing; six brothers, Joe, Frank Jr., Al, Tony Leo and Carl Mages.
Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at Sacred Heart Church in Muenster, TX with Rev. John Ohner, O.S.A. officiating. McCoy Funeral Home directed the service. Interment followed in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Pallbearers included: Barry Fleitman, Steve Fleitman, David Fleitman, Scott Fleitman, Jody Fleitman and Chad
Fleitman.

Earl Jack Hutson...
Earl Jack Hutson, age 77, of Iowa Park, TX passed away March 11, 2004 in the hospital in Wichita Falls, TX.
Mrs. Hutson was born July 29, 1926 in Belcherville, TX to Ada Lowry and L.H. Hutson. He was a carpenter and roofer.
Funeral services for Mr. Hutson were held Friday, March 12, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Thomas Handrick officiating. Interment was at the Ringgold Cemetery under the direction of Jerry Woods Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Jean Moellering, Iowa Park, TX; one stepson, Tracy Large, Empire, OK; four grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Hutson; his parents, Ada and L.H. Hutson; his wife Katherine Hutson; and two brothers, Wayne and Jiggs

Mary Linda Lindsey, 61, of Wichita Falls, TX, passed away on March 13, 2004 at Texhoma Christian Care Center in Wichita Falls, TX.
She was born August 18, 1942 in Oilton, OK. She married Grady Walter Lindsey on December 30, 1986 in Gainesville, TX. Mrs. Lindsey was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Bowie, TX. She was a retired secretary from Nocona Boot Manufacturing Company in Nocona, TX. She was a forty year resident of Bowie, TX.
Survivors include: one son, Jimmy Boles of Bowie, TX; two daughters, Mrs. Lynn Lloyd of Gainesville, TX and Mrs. Lori Ann Forester of Bluegrove, TX; five grandchildren; two brothers, Gene Mann and Billy Mann, both of Bowie, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Walter Lindsey in 1996; and one brother, Vernon Mann in 1996.
Graveside services for Mrs. Lindsey were conducted Monday, March 15, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery with Dr. Darrell Brown officiating. Fry Funeral Home directed the services.

Blossom Limahai Rohus, 58, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2004 in Bowie, TX.
She was born February 8, 1946 in Honolulu, HA. She married Lloyd Rohus, Jr. February 27, 1987 in Deer Park, TX. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include: her husband, Lloyd E. Rohus, Jr. of Bowie, TX; one daughter, Ina Sonnier of Palacios, TX; two sons, Benedict Limahai of Honolulu, HA and Donald L. Sonnier, Jr. of Palacious, TX; step children, David Rohus of Huffman, TX and Angela Staggs of Houston, TX and Renee Rohus of Katy, TX; and fifteen grandchildren.
A memorial service for Mrs. Rohus will take place in Honolulu, HA for family and friends this summer. Arrangements were under the direction of White Family Funeral Home.

Norma G. Fonren, 82, of Horizon Manor in Nocona, TX passed away March 13, 2004 at Hospice of Wichita Falls.
She was born July 17, 1921 in Spanish Fort, TX to Andy J. and Cora Mae Ridenour Tipton She was a property manager in Houston, TX. On Easter Sunday, 1942 she married B.F. (Frank) Fondren. He preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 1975.
Graveside services for Mrs. Fondren were conducted Monday, March 15, 2004 at Spanish Fort Cemetery, under the direction of Scott-Morris Funeral Home, Nocona, TX.
Survivors include: one son, David Fondren of Plainview, TX and one daughter, Sherry Sue Fondren of Round Rock, TX; and four grandchildren; six great
grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Eideson of Phoenix, AZ and Bondell Green of Mesa, AZ; and one brother, Waymon Tipton of Nocona, TX.
Herbert C. “Hub” Greene...
Herbert C. “Hub” Greene, 82, a longtime resident of Bridgeport, TX, passed away at Bellmire Home in Bowie on March 10, 2004.
He was born December 20, 1921 in Bridgeport, TX. Mr. Greene was a retired gang foreman in the oil industry. On June 29, 1949 he married Peggy Thomason at Clovis, NM. He moved to Bowie twenty years ago from Bridgeport. Mr. Greene was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the Bridgeport Masonic Lodge #587 A.F. and A.M., a member of the Fort Worth Scottish Rite Bodies and the Moslah Shrine Temple in Fort Worth, TX. He served in the U.S. Army in the Signal Corps during WWII.
Survivors include: his wife, Peggy Greene of Bowie, TX; one daughter, Cyndi Jenkins of Roanoke, TX; one son, Jackie Lee Greene of Bowie, TX; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Greene were on Saturday, March 13, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Fry Funeral Home Chapel in Bowie with Rev. Don Haney officiating. Interment followed in Elmwood Cemetery, Bowie, TX.
Pallbearers were Billy R. Large, Jim Beverage, J.C. Roberts, Max Gardner, Chico Gardner and Robert Graham.

Gerald “Todd” Talley, 28, of Saint Jo, TX, passed away on March 13, 2004 at Nocona General Hospital in Nocona, TX.
He was born March 6, 1976 in Nocona, TX to Gerald E. and Rita Lipscomp Talley. He was an avid sports fan, especially when his brother was playing. He loved to feed and haul cattle with his dad.
Survivors include: his parents, Gerald & Rita Talley of Saint Jo, TX; one sister, Trisha Talley of Nocona, TX; one brother, Gregory Talley of Austin, TX; and his grandparents, William F. & Frances Clark Lipscomb of Nocona, TX.
Services for Mr. Talley were conducted Monday, March 15, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Nocona with Sonny Cole and Shelley McNew officiating. Scott-Morris Funeral Home directed the services. Interment followed in Center Point Cemetery.

Dearl Throckmorton, 67, of Bowie, TX, passed away on March 11, 2004 at Bowie Memorial Hospital.
He was born February 22, 1937 in Bowie. He was an elephant trainer with the Barnum & Bailey Circus for several years and a salesman. Mr. Throckmorton was a member of the Baptist faith. He was a thirty-five year resident of Bowie.
Funeral services for Mr. Throckmorton were conducted Monday, March 15, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at East Side Baptist Church with Rev. Jamie Reed officiating. Interment followed in Brushy Cemetery. Fry Funeral Home directed the services.

Hazel Edgar Hankins...
Hazel Edgar Hankins, age 92, of Mansfield, TX passed away March 9, 2004 at the Medical Center of Arlington in Arlington, TX.
Mrs. Hankins was born February 24, 1912 in Bowie, TX to Bertha Roberts and Arthur Willis. She married M.E. “Massey” Hankins on December 24, 1931. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church and an important part of her life was participation in the Alter Guild of her church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She worked for the Nocona News as Proof Reader during the years when Mr. Peters and also when Mr. and Mrs. Hayes had the paper.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hankins were held Friday, March 12, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church with Pastors Keith Barbee and David Howeth officiating. Interment was at the Nocona Cemetery under the direction of Scott Morris Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Judy Meyers, Mansfield, TX; three sons, Wayne Hankins, Arlington, TX, Donald Hankins, Crowley, TX and Jamie Hankins, Ft. Worth, TX; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; one sister, Billie Fern Drury, Bowie, TX; one sister-in-law, Athalee Kiser, Nocona, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
