Effieday Barbara Durham...
     Effieday Barbara Durham, age 90, of Bowie, TX passed away October 15, 2004 in the Bowie Nursing Center in Bowie, TX. 
     Mrs. Durham was born October 1, 2004 in Montague County, TX to Jackson Berry and Sara Frances Graham Hutson. She married Tommy Hugh Durham. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and had worked as a nurses aid for Horizon Manor. 
     Funeral services for Mrs. Durham were held Monday, October 18, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Scott-Morris Chapel in Nocona, TX with Rev. Roger Bishop officiating. Interment was at the Nocona Cemetery under the direction of Scott-Morris Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: her children, Leo Durham, Lynda DeFrates and Loretta Bishop, all from Bowie, TX and Mozele Palmer, Azle, TX; nine grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren; and one brother, Leo Forest Hutson, Breckenridge, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jackson and Sara Hutson; her husband Tommy Hugh Durham in 1958; a daughter, Melba Jo Murphy; and a granddaughter, Donna Tarpley.

 

Charles Earl Huddleston...
     Charles Earl Huddleston, age 64, of Nocona Hills, TX passed away October 13, 2004 at his home in Nocona Hills, TX.
     Mr. Huddleston was born September 10. 1940 to Henry Huddleston and Vivian Belle Henley in Saint Jo, TX. He graduated from Breckendridge High School in 1959. He was a star tackle for the famous 1958 State Championship team. The team nicknamed him “The Brick Wall” because he was immovable. He went on to play college football at Texas Tech University and McMurray College. He married Ann Foley in Hobbs, New Mexico on May 19, 1964. He was a truck driver in the oil fields until recently retiring. He loved to fish and play with his grandsons.
     Funeral services for Mr. Huddleston were held Saturday, October 16, 2004 at Shepard of the Hills Baptist Church in Nocona, TX with Rev. Walter Haynie officiating. Interment was at the Mountain Creek Cemetery In Montage County under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Saint Jo, TX. 
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Ann Huddleston, daughters, Christine Sebring, and her husband, Dennis, Mesquite, TX and Jennifer Brockman, Denton, TX; three, grandchildren; and three sisters, Shirley Ann Barnette, Saint Jo, TX, Saddie Balthrop and Nickie Lou Turner, Gainesville, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Bill Huddleston. 
     Pallbearers included: Jimmy Barnette, Larry Barnette, Brandon Barnette and Weldon Turner.
