Eva Jo Hacker...
Eva Jo Hacker, age 66, went to be with her Lord at
8 a.m. Saturday, September 18th, 2004 in Bowie, TX after a lengthy
battle with cancer.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September
21, at the River of Life Church with Reverend Chris Dunn
officiating, under the direction of White Family Funeral Home.
Burial followed in Elmwood Cemetery.
Eva was born December 15, 1937 in Lawton, Oklahoma, the
daughter of Aubrey Lee and Zona Bohannon. She graduated early from
Iowa Park High School in 1955. She was the business manager at the
Knox City Independent School District when she retired after 25
years of service. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and
great-grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her sister Frankie Lee.
She is survived by her husband, Cris Hacker of Bowie;
three sons, Richard Lee Hacker and wife, Deena, of Schertz, TX;
Russel Lin Hacker and his wife, Simone, of Decatur, TX; Rance Wayne
Hacker of Kennedale, TX; and five brothers, Bobby Bohannon and his
wife, Wanda, of Lubbock, TX; Aubrey Carrol Bohannon and his wife,
Louise, of Wichita Falls, TX; Dean Bohannon and his wife, Kandy, of
Lubbock, TX; Dale Bohannon and his wife, Kitten, of Lubbock, TX;
Gordon Clark Bohannon and his wife, Denise, of Leveland, TX; four
sisters, Darlene Cope of Wichita Falls, TX; Loretta Chandler and her
husband, Garry, of Wichita Falls, TX; Sharon Kay Trentham and her
husband, Jerry Don, of Louisville, KY; Gayle Fletcher and her
husband, Robert, of Henrietta, TX; three granddaughters; five
grandsons; and one great-grandson.
Honorary Pallbearers were her eight grandchildren:
Meredith Hacker, Jordan Hacker, Ashton Hacker, Gunner Hacker,
Harrison Hacker, Ivie Hacker, Holden Hacker, Isaac Hacker.
Pallbearers were: Jimmy Cope, Don Bohannon, Gary Chandler, Jackie
Bohannon, Clint Hacker, Curtis Shiflett.
Cordie Williams...
Cordie Williams, age 91, passed away on September 15,
2004 in Fort Worth, TX.
Mrs. Williams was born September 25, 1912 in Montague
County to Ardell and Amanda Reynolds Russ. She was a homemaker.
Funeral services for Mrs. Williams were held Monday,
September 20, 2004 at 5:00 p.m. in Brown-Owens & Brumley’s Joe B.
Brown Memorial Chapel. Graveside services were held Tuesday,
September 21, 2004 in Perryman Cemetery, Forestburg, TX with Pastor
Jamie Reed officiating. Local arrangements under the direction of
White Family Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Jessie
Williams; one sister, Ilah Cox; six grandchildren; ten
great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Durward E. Williams; one son,
Durward E. Williams Jr.; one daughter, Jane Chalupka; and one
sister, Cleta Fryar.
Mary Jane Belanger Dixon...
Mary Jane Belanger Dixon, age 52, of Saint Jo, TX
passed away September 13, 2004 in Decatur, TX.
Mrs. Dixon was born March 19, 1952 near Cleveland, OH
where she made her home until moving to Texas some twenty-five years
ago. She married Earl Linn Dixon in January, 1980 in The Colony.
They lived in Saint Jo for about thirteen years. She was a graduate
of Kent State University in Ohio. She was an accomplished violinist,
artist, singer and actress.
Graveside services for Mrs. Dixon were held Saturday,
September 18, 2004 at Mountain Park Cemetery in Saint Jo, TX under
the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: her husband, Earl Linn
Dixon, Saint Jo, TX; one son, Christopher Linn Dixon, Saint Jo, TX;
two daughters, Cherlyn Renee Dixon, Weatherford, TX and Michelle
Belanger, Medina, OH; three sisters, Denise Belanger, Rittman, OH,
Cathy and husband Ron Berger, Portland, OR; Alice and husband Mike
Bosko, SC; one brother, Bill Belanger, MD; one half brother, Joe
Belanger, Morganton, NC; nine grandchildren; and one
great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her father, Leo Joe
Belanger.
“Dan” Carl Daniel Harper...
“Dan” Carl Daniel Harper, age 80, of Nocona, TX passed
away September 15, 2004 at the Horizon Manor Care Center in Nocona,
TX.
Mr. Harper was born April 13, 1924 in Hastings, OK to
James Madison and Lilly Simms Harper. He married Evelyn Lucille
McIntyer on February 13, 1947 in Wichita Falls, TX. He was a member
of the Bonita Baptist Church and he served in the United States
Navy. He was retired from Brown Well Service.
Graveside services for Mr. Harper were held Thursday,
September 16, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. at the Nocona Cemetery with Zack
Randals and Brian Robertson officiating. Services were under the
direction of Scott Morris Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Evelyn Harper,
Nocona, TX; children, Dawn Kitchens, Nocona, TX; Danell Hughes,
Nocona, TX and Deidre Hazel, Waurika, OK; five grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; and one sister, Opal Allen, Temple, OK
Mike Lynn Carter...
Mike Lynn Carter, age 35, of Nocona, TX passed away
September 13, 2004 in Nocona, TX.
Mr. Carter was born November 2, 1966 in Pasadena, TX to Jerry and
Patricia Shoemake Carter. He worked in commercial construction and
he was a Baptist.
Graveside services for Mr. Carter were held Thursday,
September 16th, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the Eagle Point Cemetery with
Rev. Don Hendrix officiating, under the direction of Scott Morris
Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: his parents, Jerry and Pat
Carter, Nocona, TX; two sisters, Sharon and husband, Chris Keck,
Nocona, TX and Stephanie and husband, Patrick Williams, Dallas, TX;
nieces, Jana and Madison Keck, Nocona, TX; and nephews, Clay and
Chance Williams, Dallas, TX.
Weldon Carpenter...
Weldon Carpenter, age 92, of Nocona, TX passed away
September 13, 2004 in the Nocona General Hospital.
Mr. Carpenter was born October 1, 1911 in Montague
County, TX to William Franklin and May Eaton Carpenter. He married
Marjorie Hill on August 19, 1945 in Nocona, TX. He worked in the oil
field for Bolin Oil Company for many years. He was baptized in the
Assembly of God Church in 1937 and in recent years attended the
Valley View Baptist Church when he was able.
Funeral services for Mr. Carpenter were held September
15, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Scott-Morris Chapel. Interment was at
the Nocona Cemetery, under the direction of Scott Morris Funeral
Home.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Marjorie
Carpenter; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death
by his parents, William and May Carpenter; and sisters and brothers,
Oda Morrow, Eula Moore, Jewel Young, Roy Carpenter and Evert
Carpenter.
