Mel (Tex) Anders ...
     Mel Anders, age 66, of Gustine, Texas, passed away April 27, 2004, in Abilene, Texas. He was born June 8, 1937, in Odessa, Texas, to James Monroe and Georgia Gibbins Anders. He married Neede Jones, May 1, 1983, in Gustine, Texas.
     Survivors include his wife, Neede; four daughters, Terri Wallace and husband Chuck of Bowie, TX; Tammie Miller and husband Alan of Bowie, TX; Tracy Birkett and husband Tom of Stamford, CT; and Keisha Jones of Dallas, TX; one son, Donnie Jones and wife Kelly of McKinney, TX; grandchildren, Karli Hudson, Kyle Hudson, Levi Wallace, Britt Miller, Baylie Miller, Emily Birkett, T.J. Birkett, Melanie Birkett, Georgia Birkett, Loren Marsh, and Logan Jones; and a sister, Dorothy Bruno.
     A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 1, 2004 at his ranch north of Hamilton, TX

 

Paul Sicking...
     Paul Sicking, age 75, of Muenster, TX passed away April 29, 2004.
     Mr. Sickling was born October 13, 1928 to Bernard (Ben) and Mary Sicking where he grew up on a dairy farm eight miles southwest of Muenster, TX. He served in the Korean War, and then returned to run a dairy of about one hundred cows. He worked hauling gravel and in the oil field. He moved to Myra in 1970 into a house that was formerly Mercy Hospital. He was a member of the Myra Volunteer Fire Department, Myra Community Club and the VFW. 
     Funeral services for Mr. Sicking were held Monday, May 3, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with Father John Ohner, O.S.A. officiating. Interment was at the Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: six daughters, Kathy Vogel, Myra, TX, Debora Kichenbauer and Marla Wolf, both of Gainesville, TX, Paula Reiter, Era, TX; Dora Erwin and Staci Beadles, both of Lindsay, TX; three sons, Mark, Sicking, Troy Sicking and Matt Sicking, all of Muenster, TX; two sisters, Rose Rhomer and Irene Klement, Muenster, TX; three brothers, Leo and Ollie Sicking, both of Muenster, TX and Ernest Sicking, South Carolina; and his life long friend, Bernice Sicking, Myra, TX.
     Pallbearers included: Paul’s grandson: Scot Vogel, Rodney Vogel, Charles Johnson, Todd Reiter, Aaron Sicking, Jason Sicking, Brad Wolf and Alex Sicking. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons Dillon Sicking, Nathan Sicking, Jackie Wolf and Jory Wolf.

 

Bryan Kyce Neal...
     Bryan Kyce Neal, age 46, of Muenster, TX passed away April 29, 2004.
     Mr. Neal was born November 21, 1957 to Don and Wilma Neal. He attended Arkansas City Schools and Cowley County Community College. He married Peggy Mills on November 30, 1991 in Proctor, AR. They became the proud parents of four children. Kyce was a machinist for Pete Soro Machine Works in Memphis, TN. He moved to Muenster, TX four years ago from Harrisburg, AR. 
     Funeral services for Bryan Kyce Neal were held Monday, May 3, 2004 at 10:00 at the First Baptist Church in Muenster with Rev. Billy Ledbetter officiating. Interment was at the Hardy Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: his wife, Peggy, Muenster, TX; his parents, Don and Wilma Neal, Arkansas City, KA; one daughter, Kylie Neal, Norman, OK; three sons, Tyler Neal, Morris, OK, Ryan and Rielly Neal, both of Muenster, TX; one sister, Kim Gerstberger, Muenster, TX; one brother, Todd Neal, Arkansas City, KA; several nieces, nephews; one great niece and great nephew; and life long friends Brian and Cindy Current.
     Pallbearers included: Jeff Gerstberger, Todd Neal, Brian Current, Chris Watson, Andy Clark, Michael Holmes, Paul Williams, and Ben and Calvin Coughenour.

 

Karnese Wall...
     Karnese Wall, age 89, of Nocona, TX passed away April 29, 2004 in Dallas, TX. 
     Mrs. Wall was born May 22, 1914 in Davis, OK to Virgil Lee Rowe and Meddie May Mabry. She married Abner T. Wall on September 3, 1933 in Walters, OK. She was a homemaker and owner/operator of a furniture store. She was a secretary at the Bethel Baptist Church for many years. She was a member of the Nocona Chapter #62 O.E.S. and of the Nocona Hospital Auxiliary. She was a Past Worthy Matron of the Nocona Chapter #62 O.E.S.
     Funeral services for Mrs. Wall were held Saturday, May 1, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Moore officiating. Interment was at the Nocona Cemetery with graveside rites by Nocona Chapter #62 O.E.S. under the direction of Jerry Woods Funeral Home. 
     Surviving relatives include: one son, Donald Wall, Paris, TX; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren; and two brothers, C.P. Rowe, TX and Cecil Rowe, Granbury, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Abner T. Wall on January 24, 1986; one daughter, Delva Crenshaw on March 24, 1958; and one son, Daon Wall on December 17, 2001.
     Pallbearers included: Stacy Lyon, Ken White, Billy Spencer, Richard Cobb, Brian Wall, Donald Prayer and Jeff Clark.

 

Sarah Gay Pope...
     Sarah Gay Pope, age 29, of Nocona, TX passed away April 28, 2004 at the Nocona General Hospital in Nocona, TX. 
     Ms. Pope was born December 14, 1974 in Fort Worth, TX to Dorothy Marie Skinner and Millard Roland Pope. 
     A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Services were under the direction of Scott Morris Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: her parents, Millard and Dorothy Pope, Nocona, TX; two sisters, Debra Horton, Bolton, TX and Cheryl Spence, Valley Mills, TX; and her grandparents, Dorothy and Jesse Skinner, Nocona, TX.
