Robert Louis Kollman...
     Robert Louis Kollman, 81, of Weatherford, TX, passed away January 25, 2006 in Fort Worth, TX.
     He was born November 26, 1924 in Wichita Falls, TX to Eddie and Erna Darr Kollman. On June 6, 1947 he married Ruby Joyce Underwood. She preceded him in death in 2001. Mr. Kollman was a retired Shell Oil Co. draftsman. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of the Baptist faith, a member of the Faith Masonic Lodge and served as Marshall for the Phoenix Masonic Lodge.
     Funeral services were Saturday, January 28, 2006 at 11:00 am. at the Jerry Woods Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clark Frailey officiating. Masonic graveside rites were held by Phoenix Masonic Lodge #275 of Weatherford, TX with burial in the Nocona Cemetery, under the direction of Jerry Woods Funeral Home.
     Survivors include: one son, Robert Alan Kollman of Weatherford, TX; two daughters, Susan Nepomnick of Carrolton, TX and Carol Ann McMelly of Round Rock, TX; and three grandchildren.
     Memorials may be made in Mr. Kollman’s name to Phoenix Masonic Lodge #275, Weatherford, TX.

 

Lola Agness Russell...
    
Lola Agness Russell, 86, of Nocona, TX, passed away January 28, 2006 in Nocona.
     She was born September 12, 1919 in Ft. Smith, AR to Thomas Logan and Mary Myrtle Cox Vanover. On August 27, 1934 she married James Leonard Russell in Montague County, TX. He preceded her in death in 1984. Mrs. Russell was a homemaker and a member of Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in Bowie.
     Funeral services were Monday, January 30, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Jerry Woods Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Floyd Key officiating.
     Burial followed in Nocona Cemetery.
     Survivors include: one daughter, Mary Fox of Mineral Wells, TX; one son, Roger Russell of Nocona, TX; one sister, Phyllis Grace of River Bank, CA; one brother, Jack Vanover of Modesto, CA; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
     Pallbearers were grandsons Brent Fox, Scotty Whitsett, Lonny Fox, Ken Koontz, Dustin Koontz and Kyle Russell.
     Memorials may be made in her name to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.

 

Wanda J. Brooks...
     Wanda J. Brooks, age 72, of Nocona Hills, TX passed away January 28, 2006 in the Nocona General Hospital in Nocona, TX.
     Mrs. Brooks was born January 9, 1934 in Pampa, TX to Richmond Leo Rock and Ruby Jewel Combs. She married Ray Brooks. She was past president of the Business Professional Women’s Club and the Nocona Hills Owners Association. She held a realtors license, and she tutored in ESL and Literary.
     Memorial services for Mrs. Brooks will be held Friday, February 3, 2006 at the Nocona Hills Community Hills Church with Rev. Joseph Jernigan officiating.
     Surviving relatives include: her husband, Ray Brooks, Nocona Hills Community; one daughter, Connie Brooks, Amarillo, TX; one son, Donald Brooks, Las Cruces, NM; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and two sisters, Kay Daniels, Phoenix, AZ and Dolly Foard, Tucson, AZ.
     In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Nocona Hills Community Church or to the Nocona Hills Volunteer Fire Department.

 

Tommie Murriel Kirby...
     Tommie Murriel Kirby, 88, of Fredericksburg, TX, passed away January 26, 2006 in Fredericksburg.
     She was born September 2, 1917 in Horatio, AR to Thomas David and Armentia Mize Mabry. She married Arlie True Kirby on November 3, 1935 in Nocona, TX. He preceded her in death in 1994. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith.
     Graveside services for Mrs. Kirby were Sunday, January 29, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. at the Nocona Cemetery with Rev. Clark Frailey officiating. Jerry Woods Funeral Home of Nocona directed the service.
     Survivors include: two sons, Thomas David Kirby of LaLuz, NM and John Kirby of Fredericksburg, TX; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; and one great-great grandchild.

 

Lorene Croxton...
     Lorene Croxton age 98, of Stuart, FL passed away January 25, 2006 at her residence in Palm City, FL.
     Mrs. Croxton was born in Rheas Mill, TX. She was a graduate of Electra High School. She married Harold David (Bay) Croxton in Nocona, TX. She was retired from the Circuit Court of Broward County, FL and was a lifetime member of The Eastern Star.
     Funeral services for Mrs. Croxton were held Friday, February 3, 2006 in the Chapel of the Funeral Home with Charles Fletcher bring The Eulogy.
     Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Margot Huckleberry, Lake Panasoffkee, FL; one son, Arthur A. Croxton, Palm City, FL; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Vivian Reynolds, Nocona, TX; and one brother, Charles Fletcher, Marshall, TX.
     She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold David Croxton and an infant daughter, Nancy.

 

Frank Bernauer...
     Frank Bernauer passed away January 29, 2006 in Muenster, TX.
     Mr. Bernauer was born February 10, 1919 in Muenster to Joseph Michael and Catherine Mueller Bernauer. He completed school at Sacred Heart and later went to California where he worked for several years as a welder in one of our nations defense plants. He later opened a liquor store in Amarillo, and then proceeded to own and operate a larger business in Panhandle, Texas. Frank was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and had lived in Muenster most of his life.
     Mass of Christian burial for Frank Bernauer, 86 of Muenster was held Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Muenster with Rev. John Ohner, O.S.A. celebrating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Muenster. Services are directed by McCoy Funeral Home of Muenster.
     Survivors include two sisters, Sister Barbara Bernauer of Muenster, TX and Evelyn Nachtman of Boynton Beach, FL; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
     He was preceded in death by: his parents, Joseph and Catherine Bernauer; one sister, Marie Kuehler and two brothers, Matthew and L.J. Bernauer.
     Pallbearers will be: Jack Flusche, Herbie Miller, Bill Miller, Robert Miller, Dave Vogel and Dave Muller.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Muenster Memorial Hospital Home Health Care.

 

Elizabeth Mollenkopf...
     Elizabeth Mollenkopf passed away January 29, 2006 in Muenster, TX.
     Mrs. Mollenkopf was born March 31, 1910 in Windthorst to Louis and Katie Schroeder Steinberger. She completed school in Windthorst, TX. She married George William Mollenkopf on September 26, 1933 in Windthorst, TX where they lived before moving to Muenster where they resided the remainder of their life. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and St. Anne’s Society.
     Mass of Christian burial for Elizabeth Mollenkopf, 95 of Muenster, is set for 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 31st at Sacred Heart Church with Rev. John Ohner, O.S.A. celebrating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Services are directed by McCoy Funeral Home of Muenster.
     Survivors include one daughter, Joaline Henscheid of Muenster, TX; three sons, George and James Mollenkopf, of Muenster, TX and Howard Mollenkopf, Vancouver, WA; twenty grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
     She was preceded in death by her husband George on January
13, 1957, one sister Marie Henry, one brother, Albert Steinberger and two great-granddaughters.

George Cloud...
     George Cloud, age 78, of Coldspring, TX passed away Friday, January 20, 2006.
     He was born May 27, 1927 in Huntington, TX to John Worth and Josie Herrington Cloud. He served in the U.S. Navy and upon discharge, became a pilot with the Texas Forest Service. In 1958 he joined TransTexas Airways. Upon retirement, he and his wife, Jacque sailed the seas by sailboat, toured the U.S. and Canada by motorhome and traveled the world by plane.
     Graveside services were Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, Houston, TX with Pastor Ron Ellis officiating.
     Survivors include: his wife of 37 years, Jacque Cloud; one daughter, Nancy Villareal of Kingwood, Tx; one son, John Cloud of Patton Village, TX; one sister, Birdie Cloud Leonard of Nocona, TX; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two nephews and one niece, Martha Underwood of Bowie, TX.

 

Peggy Joyce Patterson...
     Peggy Joyce Patterson, age 76 of Nocona, TX passed away January 29, 2006 in Nocona, TX.
     Peggy was born June 21, 1929 to Roy Columbus and Mae Allen Patterson. She taught school for Bowie ISD, was a bookkeeper for for Patrick Sand and Gravel and organist for the First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Nocona Chapter #62 O.E.S.
     Funeral services for Ms. Patterson were held Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church with Revs. Fred Utz, Larry Kruger and Shelley McNew officiating. Interment was at the Nocona Cemetery with Eastern Star Rites by Nocona Chapter #62 O.E.S. Services under the direction of Jerry Woods Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: several cousins and a host of friends.
     Pallbearers include: Roger Patrick, Jim Hadley, Bob Harper, Jerry Painter, Charles Gilmore, Henry Berry, Dixie Jackson and Bob Tracy.
     Honorary pallbearers include: Kevin Haralson, Hershel Boyd, Eugene Shears, Mike Reed, Mike Lemons, Blake Yager, Earl Nunnelly, Roger Arnett, Darrell Foster, Lynn Adams, Glen Seay, Claude Johnson, Casey Parr and Greg Parr.

 

Eunice Butts...
     Eunice Butts, 87, of Nocona, TX, passed away in the Nocona General Hospital on January 24, 2006.
     She was born August 17, 1918 in Quanah, TX to Earl and Laura Stroud Ragan. On June 4, 1939 she married Dennis Butts. He preceded her in death in 1974. Mrs. Butts worked as a retail clerk. She was a member of the Nocona Church of Christ.
     Funeral services were Thursday, January 26, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Jerry Woods Funeral Home Chapel with Buck Johnson and Dale Scott officiating. Jerry Woods Funeral Home of Nocona directed the service.
     Burial followed in Nocona Cemetery.
     Pallbearers were Jimmy, Chase, Roger and Caleb Bellah, Raburn Benge and Jacob Vaughan.
     Survivors include: one daughter, Pat Bellah, Athens, TX; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren

Lennie Mildred Posey Brown...
     Lennie Mildred Posey Brown, age 100, passed away January 25, 2006 in Graham, TX.
     She was born June 18, 1905 in Montague County to Loucious Le and Fannie Evans Posey. She attended schools in Harmony and Stoneburg, TX. On June 23, 1923 she married Shelton Brown. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and helped her husband on the farm. She and her husband had more than 75 years together.
     Funeral services for Mrs. Brown were Saturday, January 28, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Montague with Rev. Larry Coleman officiating. Burial followed in Montague Cemetery, under the direction of Scott Morris Funeral Home.
     Mrs. Brown’s grandsons were pallbearers.
     Survivors include: her children, Thomas Brown of Dallas and Bobby Brown of Graham, TX; one sister, Louise Fuller of Decatur, TX; twelve grandchildren; and twenty-four great grandchildren.
     She was preceded in death by: her parents, her husband; one son, Posey Brown; one daughter, Ann Margaret Cotton .

 

Myrtle Pearl Stoner...
     Myrtle Pearl Stoner, 90, of Gainesville, TX, passed away January 26, 2006.
     She was born July 10, 1915 in Vashti, TX to George & Lottie Bell (Dorman) Lovelady. On November 4, 1934 she married Hugh Stoner in Bowie, TX. Mrs. Stoner was a Licensed Vocational Nurse at Bowie Hospital for 30 years.
     Funeral services were Monday, January 30, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Gainesville, TX with Rev. James Elliott and Rev. James Jackson officiating
     Burial was at 2:00 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery, Bowie, TX.
     Mrs. Stoner’s grandchildren were pallbearers.
     Survivors include: a daughter, Jeanetta Webb of Gainesville, sons, Melvin Stoner of Duncan, OK. Everett Stoner of Springtown, TX and Sam Stoner of Stockton, CA; two sisters, Ione Hudson of Bowie, TX and Dorothy Baker of Wichita Falls, TX; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
     Mrs. Stoner was preceded in death by: her parents, her husband, three brothers and one sister.
