     Lavena Womelene Walls, age 82 of Whitesboro, TX, formerly of Nocona, TX passed away December 10, 2005 in Sherman, TX.
     Mrs. Walls was born July 10, 1923 in Spanish Fort, TX to Albert and Daisy C. Brown Apple. She married Earl Bruce Walls on March 6, 1943 in Montague, TX. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
     Graveside services for Mrs. Walls were held Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Nocona Cemetery under the direction of Rev. Jack McBride. Services under the direction of Jerry Woods Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: two daughters, Barbara Mitchuson, Whitesboro, TX and Daisy Walls, Hillsboro, TX; one special son, Sam Youngblood, Hillsboro, TX; twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two sisters, Doris Kimbell, Fort Worth, TX and Rhynah Tuley, Broussard, LA.
     She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Walls on September 21, 1997.
     Pallbearers included: Billy Holding, Chad Atteberry, Shane Atteberry, Jeff Skinner, Bo Rice, Rodney Stapleton.

     Dakota Dale Lutkenhaus, age 24 days, passed away December 11, 2005.
     Dakota was born November 17, 2005 in Sherman at Wilson N. Jones Hospital to Duane and Dayna Stoffels Lutkenhaus.
     Graveside services for Dakota Dale Lutkenhaus were held Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Cemetery with Rev. John Ohner, O.S.A. officiating. Services under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Muenster, TX.
     Surviving relatives include: his parents, Duane and Dayna Stoffels Lutkenhaus; brothers, Daniel, Derek and Denver Lutkenhaus; grandparents, Rose Stoffels and Arthur and Angel Lutkenhaus.
     He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Frank Stoffels.

 

 

Ruby Hazel Foshee...
     Ruby Hazel Foshee, age 86 of Bowie, TX passed away December 11, 2005 in Bowie, TX.
     Mrs. Foshee was born January 19,1919 in Montague County to Henry Lee and Dora Ada Edwards Pipkin. She married Robert Foshee in Duncan, OK. She was of the Pentecostal faith and had lived in Bowie over twenty-five years.
     Graveside services for Mrs. Foshee were held Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Elmwood Cemetery with Dr. Ronnie Lawson officiating. Services under the direction of the Heritage Family Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers; four sisters; her husband, Robert Foshee; and her parents, Henry Lee and Dora Ada Edwards Pipkin.

 

 

Alene Cloud Vick...
     Alene Cloud Vick, 90, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2005 in Bowie, TX.
     She was born December 29, 1914 in Crosby to Arch and Jamie (Smith) Cloud. She was a buyer for the Collegiate Shoppe and a manager for Franklin’s Women’s Apparel. Mrs. Vick worked with her husband, Jack, in the family business, Vick’s Pharmacy of Bryan. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bryan, TX and a member of the Eastern Star of Bryan.
Funeral services for Mrs. Vick were Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Memorial Funeral Home with John Free officiating, under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home, assisted by the Memorial Funeral Home of Bryan, TX.
     Burial followed at Bryan City Cemetery.
     She is survived by her son, Michael Hudson and his wife, Kim of Decatur, TX; grandson Tanner Cole Hudson; and niece Nola Pearman and her husband, Bill of Waxahachie.
     She was preceded in death by her first husband, M.O. Hudson; her second husband, Jack F. Vick; brothers, Clint, Nolan and Claude Cloud; and sister Winnie Newton.
Pallbearers were Sam Searcy, Don Ward, Gary Lynd, Don Howell, Bobby Del Vecchio, Mike Bandy. Honorary pallbearers were John Hamilton, Randy Vaughn and Kelly Riley.

Ernest Julius Haralson “Pee Wee”...
     Ernest Julius Haralson “Pee Wee”, age 91 of Nocona, TX passed away December 6, 2005 in Nocona, TX.
     Mr. Haralson was born in Bonita, TX on December 25, 1913 to Julius Joseph and Ovie Wright Haralson. He married Elise Hilton on December 18, 1941. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Nocona, TX, where he served as a deacon. He was a Mason for sixty-four years, member of the Holland Lodge A.F.&A.M. Lodge #1. He was a member of the Jean’s Men’s Bible Class, and was a past member of the Nocona Chapter of Rotary. He was awarded Man of the Year by the Nocona Chamber of Commerce. He was on the board of the Nocona Golf Course, and the Nocona Hospital. He was in the United States Army during WWII, where he was in the 1st Armored Division in North Africa, Italy and Anzio Beach Head.
     Funeral services for Mr. Haralson were held Friday, December 9, 2005 at 10:00 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Cathey and Rev. Dave Woodbury officiating.
      Interment was at the Nocona Cemetery under the direction of Scott Morris Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: his wife, Elise Haralson, Nocona, TX; his children, Sharon Brown, Plano, TX, Candace Donnelly, Waynesboro, VA and Debbie Roper, Horseshoe Bay, TX; one sister, Maurine Hearn, Dallas, TX; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild

     Truman James Keesee, age 90 of Bowie, TX passed away December 7, 2005 in Bowie, TX.
     Mr. Keesee was born Arpil 27, 1915 in Brownwood, TX. He married Frances Rose Moore on October 31, 1041 in Dennison, TX. He worked thirty years for the U.S. Corp of Engineers.
     Funeral services for Mr. Keesee were held Saturday, December 10, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Heritage Family Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Abbot officiating.
     Interment was at Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of the Heritage Family Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: one son, Joe Keesee, Springtown, TX; one sister, Dorothy Tipps, Red Oak, TX; one grandson, and one great grandson.
     He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Rose Moore Kessee; and one son, Carl Keesee.

     Edgar Hugh Coffman, age 57 of Nocona, TX passed away December 11, 2005 in Nocona, TX.
    Mr. Coffman was born October 5, 1948 in Nocona, TX to Elvin L. and Ruby Vandeventer Coffman. He married Jeanne Wiertz on October 22, 1982 in Nocona, TX. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and was a telephone installation technician.
     Funeral services for Mr. Coffman were held Thursday, December 15, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Edwin Brooks and Fred Truax officiating. Interment was at the Nocona Cemetery under the direction of Jerry Woods Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: his wife, Jeanne Coffman, Nocona, TX; his mother, Ruby Vandeventer, Nocona, TX; three sons, Brad Coffman, Nocona, TX, Marty Coffman, Prosper, TX and Bryan Coffman, Bridgeport, TX; two daughters, Nicole Morrison, Austin, TX and Ashely Coffman, Nocona, TX; seven grandchildren; and one brother, Don L. Coffman, Chico, TX.

     E.L. Edgin, age 87 of Bowie, TX passed away December 7, 2005 in Bowie, TX.
     Mr. Edgin was born January 27, 1918 in Bowie, TX to Elmer & Ala Teague Edgin. He married Betty Jo Gilbreath on August 27, 1940 in Bowie, TX. He had lived his lifetime in Bowie, TX and was a member of the Carter Lake Baptist Church in Bowie, TX.
     Funeral services for Mr. Edgin were held Saturday, December 10, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Heritage Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Johnson officiating.
     Interment was at Brushy Cemetery under the direction of the Heritage Family Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: his wife, Betty Jo Edgin, Bowie, TX; one daughter, Ala Louise Reeves, Bowie, TX; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

     Ellis Elwood Harlan, age 81 formerly of Saint Jo passed away December 10, 2005 in Abilene, TX.
     Mr. Harlan was born July 17, 1924 in Big Springs, TX to Sam P. and Millie Faye Carter Harlan. He married Billy Louise Belcher in Munday, TX on October 25, 1963. He served in the US Army in the Medical Corps from May 1943 to May 1946 where he served in the combat zones of Germany in General Pattons Army. He was a truck driver for Scurlock Oil Company and Big Tex Crude Oil for many years.
     Graveside services for Mr. Harlan were held Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mountain Park Cemetery with Rev. V.R. Mitchell and Rev. Eddy R. Mitchell officiating. Services under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Saint Jo.
     Surviving relatives include: one son, Sam Harlan, Abilene, TX; four brothers, Sammy Allen Harlan, Columbus, TX, Wilburn Donald Harlan, Eagle Lake, TX, Gay C. Harlan, Munday, TX and Charles Ray Harlan, Scotland, TX; three sisters, Erma Faye Miller, Shreveport, LA, Elizabeth Faye Mitchell, Montgomery, AL, and Bobbie Jean Boyd, Azle, TX.
     He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Louise Harlan, and parents, Sam P. and Millie Fay Carter Harlan.

     Mrs. Wallace was born January 23, 1945 in Nocona, TX to Jack McNew and Jennie Jo Owing. She married Buck Wallace and was a member of the Red River Ranger CB Club. She was a freelance Correspondent for the Times and Record Newspaper.
     Funeral services for Mrs. Wallace were held Saturday, December 10, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Charles Wylie officiating. Interment was at the Nocona Cemetery under the direction of Scott Morris Funeral Home in Nocona, TX.
