     Ruby Ray Vann, age 79 of Euless, TX passed away December 21, 2005 in Euless, TX.
     Mrs. Vann was born May 8, 1926 to Joe Louis and Vashti Swearingin Carminati. She married Rayford Greald Vann.
     Funeral services for Mrs. Vann were held Friday, December 23, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at the Scott-Morris Chapel with Father Steve Berg officiating. Interment was at the Montauge Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Scott-Morris Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: two children, Louis and Ricky Vann, both of Euless, TX; one grandson; one sister, Marie Carter, Duncan; and one brother, Bill Carminati, Montague, TX.

 

Kenneth Latrell Hester...
     Kenneth Latrell Hester, age 82, of Bowie, TX passed away December 23, 2005 in Bowie, TX.
     Mr. Hester was born July 10, 1923 to Charlie and Noddie Farley Hester. He served in the army during World War II in the Special Services Forces, the 1st Airborne, and the 82nd Airborne. He was a member fo the VFW and the AQHA.
     Graveside services for Mr. Hester will be held Friday, December 30, 2005 at Elmwood Cemetery with Kenneth Wood officiating under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: one son, Robert Hester, Garland, TX; grandchildren, Korie Elliott, Garland, TX; Audrey Methany, Bowie, TX; and David Methany, Bowie, TX.
     He is preceded in death by his wife, Alicia M. Hester.

 

Freddie Leo Brim Sr...
     Freddie Leo Brim Sr., age 74, of Bowie, TX passed away December 23, 2005 in Bowie, TX.
     Mr. Brim was born January 2, 1931 in Ennis, TX to Henry Dallas and Lucille (Yarbrough) Brim. He was a truck driver for Garland Roofing.
     Funeral services for Mr. Brim were held Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Drawing Room of the White Family Funeral Home with Brother Jamie Reed officiating under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: his wife, Patricia “Pat” Brim, Bowie, TX; children, Henry Smith, Denton, TX, Freddie Brim, Gun Barrel City, Shelia Thompson and Teresa Yates, both of Waxahachie, TX, stepchildren, Danny Maness, Bowie, TX, Jerry Maness, Nocona, TX, Melissa Delao and Crystal Inmon, both of Bowie, TX, seventeen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brothers, J.W. Brim, Ennis, TX, Larry Brim, Montague, TX, Johnny Brim, Forestburg, TX, Tommy Brim, East Monroe, LA; sisters, Belva Brim, Hurst, TX, Joyce Tucker, Carrolton, TX, Beverly Ferguson, Lewisville, TX, and Janice Nelson, Farmers Branch, TX.
      Pallbearers include: Ryan Brim, Freddie Brim III, Michael Ferguson, Lloyd Sheen, Bobby Cure and Daniel Russell.

 

David H. Allred...
    David H. Allred (Rusty), age 83 of Bowie, TX passed away December 21, 2005 in Bowie, TX.
     Mr. Allred was born September 29, 1922 in Rosebud, NM to David H. and Ruby Nix Allred, Sr. He graduated high school in Dalhart, TX and attended Texas A&M University. He joined the navy and served three years as a tail gunner in the Philippines in WWII receiving many honorary metals for outstanding service. He married Kathryn Whitson on May 28, 1945. He was a businessman and rancher in Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and Bowie, TX.
     Memorial services for Mr. Allred were held Friday, December 23, 2005 at the First Presbyterian Church of Bowie with Gail Zoya officiating under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: his wife, Kathryn (Kay) Allred, Bowie, TX; two daughters, Renee Logan, Waynesboro, VA; Gwen Allred Rhoades, Dallas, TX; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two sisters, Nickie Allred Smith, Amarillo, TX and Jackie Allred Vicars, Bowie, TX.

 

Billy B. Keith...
     Billy B. Keith, 82 passed away Sunday, December 25, 2005 in Bowie.
     Graveside Services were held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Elmwood Cemetery with David White officiating under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home.
     Billy was born May 25, 1923 in Wake County, North Carolina to Sion Alvin and Claytie (Brown) Keith Sr. He married Margie Bewley on November 23, 1945 in Pampa, Texas. He was employed thirty-four years with cities Service Oil Company. He served ten years on the Lefores ISD School Board in Lefores, Texas and was a fifty year member of the McLean Masonic Lodge #889. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and outdoorsman.
     He is preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
     He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Margie Keith of Bowie; sons, Denny Keith and his wife, Shelia of Bowie and Dwight Keith and his wife, Karen of Pampa; daughter, Denise Imke and her husband, Charles of Alto, New Mexico; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and two brothers, Marshal Dean and his wife, Delores of Blantscreek, North Carolina and S.A. Keith Jr. of Portsmouth, Virginia.

 

Olan Curlee...
     Olan Curlee, age 89 of Bowie, TX passed away December 26, 2005 in Bowie, TX.
     Mr. Curlee was born March 9, 1916 in Quanah, TX to John Martin and Ella Mae Flowers Curlee. He served his country in the U.S. Army for twenty-one years. He retired from T.U. Electric after thirty-one years service. On December 2, 1989 he married Billie Curtis Crouch in Athens, TX.
      Funeral services for Mr. Curlee were held Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel with Father Tom Kennedy, Episcopal Priest officiating. Interment was at the Bluegrove Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta, TX.
     Surviving relatives include: his wife, Billie Curlee, Bowie, TX; two daughters, Rebecca Spence, Bowie, TX and Faye Jean Nichols, Paris, TN; one son, Kent Savary, Fort Worth, TX; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one nephew.

 

Robert L. Stouder...
     Robert L. Stouder, age 77 of Nocona, TX passed away December 21, 2005 in Wichita Falls, TX.
     Mr. Stouder was born November 11, 1928 in Nocona, TX to William Clinton and Maybell Coker Stouder. He was the Nocona High School Salutatorian in 1946, served in the US Army during the Korean War and retired from the U.S. Post Office. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
     Graveside services for Mr. Stouder were held Thursday, December 22, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Nocona Cemetery with Rev. Larry Kruger officiating. Services under the direction of Jerry Woods Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: one sister, Mary Gentry, Georgetown, TX.

 

Viola Pearl Berry...
     Viola Pearl Berry, age 82, of Petrolia, TX passed away December 25, 2005 in Henrietta, TX.
     Mrs. Berry was born June 29, 1923 in Calumet, OK to William and Grace Gates. She married Altia Berry in 1940 in Forestburg, TX. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Petrolia, and had lived in Petrolia, TX for the past twenty-five years.
     Funeral services for Mrs. Berry were held Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Heritage Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Jones officiating. Interment was at Perryman Cemetery under the direction of Heritage Family Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: four sons, Altia Ray Berry, Petrolia, TX, Troy Berry, Callisburg, TX, Charles and Auphus Berry, both of Rogers, AR; four daughters, Ola Grace Foster, Oklahoma City, OK, Thelma Tomlin Burleson, TX, Rita Tennenbaum, Aurora, MI and Linda Mooney, Arlington, TX; one sister, Delores of TN; twenty two grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
     She was preceded in death by her husband, Altia Berry and her parents, William and Grace Gates.

 

Chessie Mildred York...
    
Chessie Mildred York, age 92 of Nocona, TX passed away December 21, 2005 at the Nocona General Hospital in Nocona, TX.
     Mrs. York was born May 8, 1913 at Boggy Depot, OK to Jesse and Lucy Chastain Hargrove. She married Harry York on December 25, 1932. She was the 3rd of ten children. She was a member of the Valley View Baptist Church, and was retired from the Nocona Athletic Goods after forty years of employment.
     Funeral services for Mrs. York were held Friday, December 23, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. at Scott-Morris Funeral Chapel with Dr. Joe Thedford and Rev. Wayne Coats officiating. Interment was at the Nocona Cemetery under the direction of Scott Morris Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: four children, Howard and Kenneth York, both of Fort Worth, TX; Norman York, Wichita Falls, TX; and Janie Shelton, Fort Worth, TX. eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three sisters, Thelma Walden, Henderson, NV, Jo Tettleton, Nocona, TX and Flora Cook, Parker, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harry York on July 3, 2000; four brothers, two sisters, and two grandsons.
