Billy Bob Briggs, 69, passed away Tuesday,
July 5, 2005 in Bowie, TX.
He was born September 26, 1935 in Dallas, TX to Delbert
and Anna Mae (O’Neal) Briggs. He enjoyed working with horses and
spending time with his family.
Graveside services were Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in
Elmwood Cemetery, Bowie, TX under the direction of White Family Funeral
Home.
Survivors include: Kathleen Perry of Sunset, TX; three
daughters, Roxianne Briggs, Shirley Briggs and Diane Yeal, all of
Midlothian, TX; three grandchildren; two brothers; two sisters and seven
step-children.
Ronnie Lee Scott...
Ronnie Lee Scott, 56, passed away Tuesday,
July 12, 2005 in Plano, TX.
Funeral services were Saturday, July 16, 2005 at 11:00
a.m. in the Drawing Room of the White Family Funeral Home with Rev. Gail
Zoya officiating. White Family Funeral Home directed the service.
A private family burial followed.
Ronnie was born January 25, 1949 in Fort Worth, TX to
Ray and Rachel Hilburn Scott. He worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone.
Survivors include his mother, Rachel Scott and
long-time friend, Wesley House, both of Plano, TX.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Scott.
Toy Christine Turney...
Toy
Christine Turney, 92, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2005 in Bowie, TX.
Toy was born December 25, 1912 in Wellington, TX to
John Marvin and Effie (Gilmore) Woolf. She lived in Montague from early
childhood until her thirties when she moved to New Mexico. She was a
longtime member of Rio Mimbres Baptist Church. She loved spending time
outdoors with her rose and flower gardens, and the birds and wildlife on
the ranch. Toy owned and operated a restaurant in Bayard for many years.
Services were Friday, July 15, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. in
the Drawing Room of White Family Funeral Home with Jamie Reed
officiating under the direction of White Family Funeral Home.
Burial followed in Elmwood Cemetery.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, John and
Effie Woolf; husband John Turney; son Richard Turney; brothers L.G. and
Ike Woolf; and sisters, Beatrice Griffen and Thelma Culver.
She is survived by: one brother, Trusten Woolf and his
wife Wanda of Bowie, TX; four nieces and nephews; six great nieces and
nephews; and several great-great nieces and nephews.
Honorary mention of special friends for your deeds and
loving care: Mr. Gordon T. “Tommy” Holshouser of Mimbres, NM; Mr. and
Mrs. Deily Crumbley and their children, Jack and Erin of Fort Bayard;
New Mexico; and Dr. W.R. Fowler of Silver City, NM.
Pallbearers were Delbert Woolf, Mike Woolf, Jimmy Woolf,
Roy Marvin Woolf, Bobby Woolf and Deily Crumbley.
