Gladys Irene Wheeless...
      Gladys Irene Wheeless, 85, passed away Monday, June 6, 2005 in Bowie, TX.
     Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church Bowie with Revs. Mike Henson and Ben Wiseman officiating. White Family Funeral Home will direct the service.
Cryptside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Forest Park Cemetery Chapel View Mausoleum in Houston, TX.
     Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Texas Missions of the Southern Baptist of Texas Convention.
     She was born March 17, 1920 in Colorado City, TX to Clarence and Beulah (Morse) Dossey. She married Elmer Wheeless in September of 1942 in Galveston, TX. She worked as an LVN at Galveston Memorial Hospital from 1964-1982 until her retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for forty years. She enjoyed playing the violin and woodcarving.
     She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Wheeless, son Edward Wheeless and grandson, Tim Wiseman.
     She is survived by: her daughter, Wanda Wiseman and her husband, Ben of Bowie, TX; grandchildren, Jan DeLuna and her husband, Sonny of Wichita Falls, TX; Emily Wheeless of Auburn, Alabama, Laura Wheeless of Austin and BJ. Wiseman of Wichita Falls, TX; great grandchildren, Bethany DeLuna and J.T. DeLuna of Wichita Falls, TX; daughter-in-law, Karen Wheeless of Austin, TX.
     Pallbearers were Tommy Hays, Larry Hargrove, Jerry Cantwell, Charles Parr, Jerry Lancaster and Lyndon Dunn.
 

James Arnel Hutcherson...
      James Arnel Hutcherson, of Farmers Branch, passed away June 5, 2005 in Farmers Branch where he and his wife Ruth have lived for 34 years. He was born March 4, 1931 in Van Zandt County, TX. James and Ruth’s blended family was the light of his life.
     The five children are daughter Cindy Farr and husband Larry, son David Jones and wife Sherrill, daughter Terry Hefner and husband Greg, son Jimmy Hutcherson and wife Susan and daughter Nancy Waggoner and husband Mark. Grandchildren are Wayne Boyle, Nikki and Sean Waltenberg, Justin & Megan Farr, Leslie Jones, Trisha & Mike Sidenbender, Heather and Holly Hutcherson, Carrie, Brent, and Jamie Waggoner and Trevor and Cory Jones. He had four wonderful great-grandchildren, Kalee, Amie, Zoe and Caleb. James is also survived by sister Joann Faulkner, many nieces, nephews and cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends. He was privileged to have the best friends in the world in brother-in-law Ed Boshers and wife Marie.
     After serving in the U.S. Army in Germany, James completed a 35 year career with General Motors Parts Warehouse and was a past treasurer of Local Union 816. James loved traveling and was an avid RV-er and square dancer. He and Ruth were 25-year members of the Dixie Chainers Square & Round Dance Club, and were past presidents of the North Texas Square & Round Dance Assn. These activities blessed them with countless, wonderful friends.

Catherine Lorine Foster...
      Catherine Lorine Foster, 82, a forty-four year resident of Bowie, TX, passed away in Bowie Memorial Hospital on June 2, 2005.
     She was born January 6, 1923 in Garvin County, OK. On February 27, 1943, she married Riley Foster in Montague, TX. She was a laundry worker at Bowie Nursing Center for over 20 years.
     Funeral services were Saturday, June 4, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Ebenezer Pentecostal Church of God in Bowie with Rev. Raymond Terry and Rev. Bill Brown, Pentecostal ministers, officiating. Fry Funeral Home directed the service.
     Burial followed at Nocona Cemetery, Nocona, TX.
     Survivors include: her husband, Riley Foster of Bowie, TX; three daughters, Linda Sue Murray and her husband David of Bowie, TX, Mildred Joyce Davidson and her husband Billie of Paradise, TX and Diane Moody and her husband Glenn of Bowie, TX; three sons, James Robert (Bobby) Foster and his wife Edith of Bowie, TX, Jimmy Doyle Foster and his wife Sheri of Bowie, TX and Darrell Lynn Foster and his wife Dobbin of Bowie, TX; one half-sister, Ellen of CA; twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-four great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Helen Foster of Bowie, TX and Martha West of Hamilton, TX.
     Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by one son, William Morris Foster and two grandsons, James Robert Foster and Charles Glenn Moody.
     Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Bowie Senior Citizens Meals on Wheels, Bowie, TX 76230.

 

Joshua Joseph Gambill “Josh”...
     Joshua Joseph Gambill “Josh” age, 22, of Allen, TX passed away June 5, 2005 in Allen, TX.
     Mr. Gambill was born March 24, 1983 in Tyler, TX to Joe and Beth Howe Gambill. He played Varsity football and was on the wrestling team for Nocona High School. He was a member of Who’s Who among American Students. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. He was employed by Kroger.
     Funeral services for Mr. Gambill were held Wednesday, June 8 2005 at the First Presbyterian Church in Nocona, TX with Rev. Ike Butterworth officiating. Interment was at Nocona Cemetery under the direction of Scott Morris Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: his parents, Joe and Beth Gambill, Olney, TX; one sister, Erin Lee Dunn, Allen, TX; and one brother, William “Hale” Gambill, Olney, TX.

 

William Joice Lofland...
    
William Joice Lofland, age 75, of Saint Jo, TX passed away June 3, 2005 in the Nocona Hospital in Nocona, TX.
     Mr. Lofland was born August 29, 1929 in Wichita Falls, TX to Felix Leander and Lillian Pauline Carter Lofland. He was involved in local school and sports activities, the Saint Jo Riding Club, Saint Jo Masonic Lodge, farming, and caring for his small herd of cattle.
     Funeral services for Mr. Lofland were held Monday, June 6, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Saint Jo Church of Christ. Interment was at Mountain Park Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Saint Jo, TX.
     Surviving relatives include: his wife, Betty Lofland, Saint Jo, TX; one daughter, Sharon Gaston, Saint Jo, TX; one son, Roice Lofland, New Orleans, LA; one sister, Shirley Smith, Wichita Falls, TX; one brother, Larry Lofland, Wichita Falls, TX; three nephews; and one niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Lillian Lofland.
     Pallbearers included: Sonny Flusche, Roy Reiter, Ben Fleitman, J.C. Ivins, Cotton Brawner and Wayne Klement.

 

Ronald Dee Brown...
     Ronald Dee Brown, age 65, of San Antonio, TX passed away June 5, 2005 in a hospital in San Antonio, TX.
     Mr. Brown was born October 24, 1939 in Wichita Falls, TX to Hoyett and Jettie Bonita Brown. He married Aggie Siironen on September 18, 1964 in Minneapolis, MN. He was a retired insurance salesman. He had served in the armed forces.
     Funeral services for Mr. Brown were held Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at the Jerry Woods Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clark Frailey officiating. Interment was at the Nocona Cemetery under the direction of Jerry Woods Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: two daughters, Robin Lee, Lubbock, TX and Tracy Brown, San Antonio, TX; two sisters, Beverely Ensey, Nocona, TX and JoAn Witt, Irving, TX; one brother, Billy Brown, Nocona, TX; and three grandchildren.
     Pallbearers included: Jimmy Fitts, Carol Keck, Brent Russell, Joe Boy Uselton, David Waldrip and Kolby Weber.

 

Linda Marie Donaldson...
     Linda Marie Donaldson, age 54 of Bowie, TX passed away June 4, 2005 in Bowie, TX.
Mrs. Donaldson was born September 29, 1950 in Modesto, CA to Ray and Ruby Widmer Christian. She was as a cook at Independence Hall in Bowie and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
     Memorial services for Mrs. Donaldson were held Monday, June 6, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. at the First Free Will Baptist Church with Dr. Larry Cox officiating, under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: her children, Jeremy Donaldson, Bowie, TX, Jimmy Donaldson and Sue Donaldson, both of Merced, CA; six grandchildren; her mother, Ruby Christian, Bowie, TX; one brother, Tim Christian, Bowie, TX; one sister, Brenda Sammons, Bowie, TX; and two nephews, Bowie, TX.
     She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Donaldson and one nephew, Chunk Richison.

 

Betty Jo Cummings...
     Betty Jo Cummings, age 75, of Bowie, TX passed away June 2, 2005 in Bowie, TX.
     Mrs. Cummings was born December 7, 1929 in the community of Lonestar to Ruben and Clara Patterson Belew. She was employed as a seamstress with the Haggar Slack Company for thirty years.
     Graveside services for Mrs. Cummings were held Saturday, June 4, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery with Paul Naeve officiating, under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: her children, Michael Burr, Bridgeport, TX, Billy Burr, Bowie, TX, Jo Anne Burr, Birmingham, AL, and Kenneth Dale Cummings, Frisco, TX; nine grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Windstone and Polly Dickerson, both of Decatur, TX; two brothers, Ralph Belew and Harold Belew, both of Decatur, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
     She is preceded in death by her parents, Ruben and Clara Belew; and one sister, Francis Davis.
     Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Cody Hill Degler Memorial Playground Fund at the Southside Baptist Church.

 

Katie Swirczynski...
    
Katie Swirczynski, age 96 of Muenster, TX passed away June 6, 2005 in Bowie, TX.
     Mrs. Swirczynski was born October 14, 1908 in Muenster, TX to John and Mary Pulte Knauf. She attended Sacred Heart School and has been a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Parish and a lifetime resident of Muenster. She married Herman Swirczynski on February 1, 1932 in Muenster, TX. She was a homemaker and had worked as a seamstress many years for a local sewing factory. She was also a member of Catholic Daughters of America, 3d order.
     Mass of Christian burial for Mrs Swirczynski was held Thursday, June 9, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church in Muenster, TX. Rev. John Ohner, OSA celebrated the mass. Interment was at Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: three daughters, Sister Monica Swirczynski, OSB, Jonesboro, AR, Edna Smith, Bowie, TX and Mary Donnelly, McKinney, TX; five sons, Max Swirczynski, Choctaw, OK, Clifford Swirczynski, Lavon, TX, John Swirczynski, Wylie, TX, Virgil Swirczynski, Southlake, TX and Rick Swirczynski, Katy, TX; one brother, Ed Knauf, Muenster, TX; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
     She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Swirczynski on January 19, 1988; parents John and Mary Knauf; four brothers, John, Charles, Alex and Joe Knauf; three sisters, Sister Agatha, OSB, Emma Schmitt and Marie Walterschied; and great-granddaughter, Elizabeth.
     Pallbearers included: Cody, Greg and Michael Swirczynski, Chuck Lamabieu, Shawn Pratt and Mark Donnelly.
 

 

Ann Nugent White...
     Ann Nugent White, age 43, of Dallas, TX passed away May 30, 2005 in her home in Dallas, TX.
     Ms. White was born August 15, 1961 in Dallas, TX to Ben and Mary Ann Nugent White. She attended college receiving a Bachelors of Art degree. She worked mostly as a paramedic in the Dallas area, where she lived most of her life.
     Graveside services for Ms. Nugent White were held Friday, June 3, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Perryman Cemetery with Mary Stewart Hall officiating. Services were directed by McCoy Funeral Home of Saint Jo, TX.
     Surviving relatives include: Frances Walling, Wichita Falls, TX; cousins, Craig Walling, Archer City, TX; Lynn Gallagher, Wichita Falls, TX; Betty Jean Miller, Mallard, TX; and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Mary Ann White Nugent.

 

Lucille Welch...
     Lucille Welch, age 87, of Saint Jo, TX passed away June 5, 2005 at a Denton Hospital in Denton, TX.
     Mrs. Welch was born September 17, 1917 in Shannon, TX to H.B. “Bud” and Effie Sparks Dawdy. She married Charles Thomas “Doc” Welch in Paducah, TX on March 24, 1940. They moved to Saint Jo, TX in 1954 where they lived and worked on the Fields Ranch until his death. She was a homemaker, a cook for the cowboys on the ranch and had worked at the Dairy Spot and Corley’s Grocery store.
     Graveside services for Mrs. Welch were held Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mountain Park Cemetery in Saint Jo, TX with Rev. Ricky Kerr and Rev. Sam Campbell officiating. The services were under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Saint Jo, TX.
     Surviving relatives include: one son, John “Guy” Welch, Moss Lake, TX; one daughter, Cindy Lyons, Saint Jo, TX; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Fisher and Evelyn Miller, both of Port Lavaca, TX and Shirley Keller, Victoria, TX; and her dearest and best friend, Edna Dunn, Saint Jo, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, H.B. and Effie Dawdy; her husband, Charles “Doc” Welch on October 7, 1977; one son, Charles “Honey” Welch; one daughter, Linda “PeeWee” Hawes; one brother, Mike Dawdy; and three sisters, Allene Christian, Alta Mae Keen and Marguerite Dawdy.
