     Edward Alan Butler, Jr., age 68, of Bowie, TX passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2005 in Bowie, TX.
     Mr. Butler was born April 26, 1937 in Houston, TX to Edward A. and Dorothy Louise Farmer Butler. He owned Security Abstract & Title Company in Bowie, Wise County Title Company, Jack County Title Company, and Denton County Title Co. He also worked as a realtor.
     Graveside services for Mr. Butler were held Friday at 10:00 a.m., June 17, 2005 at Smyrna Cemetery with Bob Garsee officiating under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: his son, Brad Butler, Sunset, TX; three grandchildren, Sunset, TX; and family friends Adeana and Alexander Cochran, Saginaw, TX; and Harriet Killen, Bowie, TX.

 

Mildred E. Husfeld...
     Mildred E. Husfeld, 79, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2005 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
     Funeral Service will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Peter Lutheran Church with Pastor Belvin Brummett officiating under the direction of White Family Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Saint Peter Lutheran Cemetery.
     Visitation: The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 til’ 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Saint Peter Lutheran Church building fund.
     Mildred was born January 11, 1926 in Westfield, Texas to Carl and Emma (Theiss) Kaiser. She married Melvin Husfeld on August 11, 1946 in Spring, Texas. She was a devoted wife for fifty-eight years. She displayed resilience and generosity throughout her life, which was centered around her family and grandchildren. She was a member of the Saint Peter Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. She enjoyed tending her flower gardens and traveling.
     She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Gladys Cox and husband, Clifford: four grandchildren, Chris, Kevin, Kimberly and Keith Cox.
     Mildred is survived by her husband, Melvin Husfeld of Bowie; two sons, Richard Husfeld and his wife, Linda of Houston; Delbert Husfeld and his wife, Lou of Huntsville; two daughters, Ellen Cox and her husband, Jae of Bowie; Debra Love of Pasadena, TX; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Carl Kaiser Jr. of Houston; and three sisters, Dorothy Jordan; Shirley and Alice Wisnoskie all of Houston; numerous nieces and nephews.

Rita W. Hargrove...
     Rita W. Hargrove, age 67 of Bowie, TX passed away June 17, 2005 in Bowie, TX.
     Mrs. Hargrove was born January 30, 1938 to Viggo and Rieta Eddie Miller. She married Melton A. Hargrove in April of 1963 in Brenham. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
     Memorial services for Mrs. Hargrove were held Monday, June 20 at 2:00 p.m. in the Drawing Room of the White Family funeral Home with Pastor Chris Bramich officiating.
     Surviving relatives include: her husband, Mel Hargrove, Nocona, TX; two daughters, Elizabeth Childers, Bowie, TX and Rebecca Horton, Bellevue, TX; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Bueal “Asko” Tally...
     Bueal “Asko” Tally, age 87 of Saint Jo, TX passed away June 17, 2005 in the Presbyterian Hospital of Denton in Denton, TX.
     Mr. Tally was born June 4, 1918 in Bonita, TX to “Bill” William Monroe and “Mae” Rosa Mae Conway Tally. He married Dee Lorraine Hanks on March 15, 1941. He was a member of the Saint Jo Church of Christ , where he served as a Deacon. He had worked in the oil field as a driller, he was a farmer and a rancher and he had once owned the Gulf Service Station in Saint Jo, TX.
     Funeral services for Mr. Tally were held fSunday, June 19, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. at the Church of Christ of Saint Jo, TX with C.E. Cole and Chester Cullum officiating. Interment was at the Center Point Cemetery under the direction of Scott Morris Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: his wife, Dee Lorraine Tally, Saint Jo, TX; his children, Bevla Lamb, Corinth, TX and Larry Tally, Chico, TX; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one sister, Adis Blakely, Saint Jo, TX.
     Pallbearers included: Jimmy Brown, Gerald Tally, Don Miller, Alfred Tally, Don Castle, William Tally. Honorary pallbearers included the rest of the nephews who are not listed above.

 

Mabel Lucille Bales...
     Mable Lucille Bales, age 83, of Nocona, TX passed away June 18, 2005 in Nocona, TX.
Mrs. Bales was born November 14, 1921 in Bristo, OK to Ralph and Jewel Haney Mahon. She married Edward Cecile Bales on February 5, 1938. She was a member of the Methodist Church and the Athletic Booster Club for the Oklahoma School for the Deaf. She had worked for Nocona Boot as a seamstress for eleven years.
     Graveside Services for Mrs. Bales were held Monday, June 20, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. under the direction of Scott Morris Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: her husband, Edward C. Bales, Nocona, TX; her children, Peggy Gandy, Point, TX; Carol Sue Whatley, Nocona, TX; Eddie Bales, Wichita Falls, TX; Randy Bales, Sanger, TX; one brother, Jed Mahon, Wichita Falls, TX; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
     Pallbearers included: Steve Gandy, Mark Gandy, Chris Gandy, Barry Whatley, Lonnie Morrow and Edward B. Bales.

 

 

Verna Odell Robinson...
     Verna Odell Robinson, 90, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2005 in Bowie, TX.
Funeral services were Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the River of Life Church with Chris Dunn officiating, under the direction of White Family Funeral Home.
     Graveside services were Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Lovington Cemetery, Lovington, NM.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the River of Life Church.
     Verna was born October 19, 1914 in Sidney, AR to James and Quincey (Cargill) Johnson. She was a grocery clerk for many years with Bob’s Supermarket in Lovington until she retired at the age of seventy. She then became a care giver for elderly folks that were younger than herself. She enjoyed cooking for family gatherings, working crossword puzzles and watching basketball, especially the Los Angeles Lakers.
     She is preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Arthur Lee Robinson; and three sons, Mickie, Charles and Archie Robinson; one brother; four sisters; and her little dog, Jake.
     She is survived by: her children, Doris Fluitt and husband, Maurice of Bowie, TX, Virginia of Amarillo, TX, Pat Kelley and husband Jerry of Los Cruces, NM, Sherry Acosta and husband Carlos of Santa Theresa, NM, Bobby Robinson and wife Weldene of Gonzales, TX, Rick Robinson and wife Pat of Tyler, TX, Randy Robinson and wife Gracie of Gonzales, TX; twenty-six grandchildren; fifty-six great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Herman Brito...
     Herman Brito, age 64 of Nocona, TX passed away June 14, 2005 in Amarillo, TX.
     Mr. Brito was born December 12, 1940 in Estancia, NM to Frank and Floripa Sanchez Brito. He married Tina Ray on Mary 15, 1965. He was the owner of H. Brito Construction in Dallas, TX and a member of the Carpenters Union and the Painters Union. He was awarded the Humanitarian of the year in 1976 in Dallas by the Industry Community.
     Graveside Services for Mr. Brito were held Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Nocona Cemetery under the direction of Scott Morris Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: his wife of forty years, Tina Brito, Nocona, TX; one son, Shannon Brito, Nocona, TX; one daughter, Carrie Lynn Sarsfield III, Everett, WA; four grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Dominquez, Rose Puga, Tillie Manning, Precilla Gutierrez; and five brothers, Pino Brito, Joe Brito, Jimmy Brito, Jullian Brito and Luciano Brito.
