Curtis L. Woolf...
    
Curtis L. Woolf, 81, a lifetime resident of Bowie, TX, passed away March 5, 2005 in Bowie.
     He was born May 6, 1923 in Bowie. On May 24, 1947 he married Louise Vanbebber in Wise County, TX. Mr. Woolf was an assembly line worker for General Dynamics. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army.
     Funeral services for Mr. Woolf were on Monday, March 7, 2005 at Fry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jamie Reed officiating. Fry Funeral Home directed the service.
    Burial followed in Elmwood Cemetery.
     Survivors include: his wife of 57 years, Martha Louise Woolf of Bowie, TX; one son, Jimmy L. and wife Beverly Woolf of Bowie, TX; one granddaughter, Tammie L. Brown, Bowie, TX; one grandson, Bobby L. and wife Connie Woolf of Bowie, TX; five great grandchildren, Kelcie and Jordan Brown, Hannah, L.G. and Bethany Woolf, all of Bowie, TX; one uncle Truston Woolf of Bowie, TX; one aunt, Toy Turney of Mimbres, NM; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
     Pallbearers were Stephen Hardison, Billy Tage, Dennis Freeman, Elby Freeman, Ricky Green and Gary Odle.
     Mr. Woolf was preceded in death by: one son, Bobby L. Woolf; parents L.G. and Nola (Farar) Woolf; and two brothers, Glen Doil Woolf and Olan H. Woolf.

Forest Edsyl Wall...
    
Forest Edsyl Wall, 86, passed away on February 28, 2005 in Bowie, TX.
     He was born January 31, 1919 in Bowie, TX to Fred B. and Ethel Ione (Board) Wall. He married Reba Self and was a supervisor for Daniel Construction.
     Graveside services for Mr. Wall were Thursday, March 3, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Newport Cemetery with Dr. Larry Cox officiating. White Family Funeral Home of Bowie directed the service.
    Survivors include: his daughters, Denise Bell and husband Darrell of Bowie, TX, Versel Rush and husband Bob of Bowie, TX and Elaine Graves and husband William of Riddle, OR; one sister, Versel Johnson of Electra, TX; brothers, Ray Wall of Brownwood, TX and Clifford Wall of St. Louis, MO; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
     He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife Reba Wall; son Billy Fred Wall; and one brother, Maborn Wall.

 

Lisa Lou Williams...
     Lisa Lou Williams, of Nocona, TX, passed away March 5, 2005 in Horizon Manor in Nocona.
She was born September 30, 1963 in Nocona to Ralph Wendell and Dorothy Mason Terry. She was married to John Williams.
     Funeral services for Mrs. Williams were on Monday, March 7, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Scott-Morris Chapel. Burial followed in Nocona Cemetery. Scott Morris Funeral Home directed the service.
     Survivors include: her husband, John Williams of Nocona, TX; children, Brandi Boydson of Dallas, TX and Stephanie Boydson of Nocona, TX; step-children, Tracy Sampson of FL, Kari Williams and Justin Williams, both of Nocona, TX and Tiffany Williams of Cleburne, TX; two sisters, Diane Duckworth of VA and Carol Lown of Saint Jo, TX; brothers, Mike Terry of Wichita Falls, TX and Robert Terry “Bobo” of Nocona, TX; three step grandchildren.
     Lisa was preceded in death by: her parents and a step grandchild, Destiny Sampson.

 

Margaret Turner...
     Margaret Turner, age 87, of Bowie, TX passed away March 1, 2005 at the Bowie Memorial Hospital in Bowie, TX.
     Mrs. Turner was born in Swaffham Norfolk, England on December 20, 1917. She married Ronald G. Ives in Swaffham, England in 1939 and after his demise married Gaston Turner in 1944. She was a member of the North Richland Hills Baptist Church and attended nursing school in Oxford, England. She worked as an accountant for St. Joseph Hospital and Arlington Memorial Hospital for twenty-three years. She was a member of the English Girls Club in Fort Worth, TX.
     Graveside services for Mrs. Turner were held Friday, March 4, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, TX with James Warden officiating. Services were under the direction of Fry Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Christine Dudley, Sunset, TX; three grandchildren, Charles Austin and his wife, Teresa, Fort Worth, TX, Christine Warden and her husband James, Fort Worth, TX and Christopher Austin, Sunset, TX; four great grandchildren, Jonathan, Alyssa and Ashlyn Austin and Valerie Warden; two brothers-in-law, Tom Turner, Bedford, TX and J.T. Wear, Warren, AR; one sister-in-law, Maxine Howard, Hot Springs, AR; several nieces and nephews; and two very close friends and neighbors, Roger and Sonja Weatherford. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ronald G. Ives and Gaston Turner.

 

Inis Wooten Thompson...
    
Inis Wooten Thompson, age 95 of Harrison, AR (formerly of Nocona, TX) passed away in Harrison,
AR.
     Mrs. Thompson was born October 9, 1909 in Pilot Point, TX to Nathan Lipscomb and Flora Glasco. She married Earl Jeff Wooten on December 24, 1933 in Valley View, TX and after his demise married Robert N. Thompason, Sr in September of 1990. She was a school teacher and a member of the Church of Christ and former member of the Maids and Matrons in Nocona, TX. 
     Funeral services for Mrs. Thompson was held Thursday, March 10, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Jerry Woods Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Dale Scott officiating. Interment was held Walling Cemetery in Cooke County Texas under the direction of Jerry Woods Funeral Home. 
     Surviving relatives include: one grandson, Scott Wooten, Harrison, AR; one sisters, Ruth Hames, CA; and one brother, N.a. Lipscomb, CA; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Jeff Wooten on July 13, 1985 and Robert N. Thompson, Sr in August 8, 1997.

 

“Bill” Billy Royce Quinn...
    
“Bill” Billy Royce Quinn, 71, of Wichita Falls, TX, passed away at Hospice of Wichita Falls, TX on March 4, 2005.
     He was born December 1, 1933 in Nocona, TX to Melvin Ward and Maurice Roland Quinn. He married Linda Sue Bailey. Mr. Quinn worked as a restaurant owner, hotel manager where he managed Town Crest Motel from 1977 to 1999. He worked hard and was a man of his word. His love for “Sweet Susie” was never ending and he was happy as long as she was by his side.
     Graveside services for Mr. Quinn were Monday, March 7, 2005 at Hopewell Cemetery. 
Survivors include: his wife, Linda Sue Quinn of Wichita Falls, TX; children, Clint & Marquetta Quinn of Wichita Falls, TX, Sonya & Tim Boyd and Daphne & David VanHooser, all of the DFW area; and five grandchildren.
     Memorials may be made in his memory to Hospice of Wichita Falls, TX, 4909 Johnson Rd., Wichita Falls, TX 76308.

 

Steven Raymond Reed...
    
Mass of Christian Burial for Steven Raymond Reed, 34, of Dallas, TX was held Friday, March 4th at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Muenster, TX. Burial followed in Saint Peters Cemetery in Lindsay. Services were under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Muenster, TX. 
     Mr. Reed was born December 11, 1970 to Donald and Joyce Reiter Reed. He attended school at Pleasant Grove High where we was Valedictorian. He then attended college at LSU where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He loved painting and growing orchids.
     Surviving relatives include: his parents, Don and Joyce Reed, Texarkana; three brothers, Brian Reed, Texarkana, Kenneth Reed, Wylie and Gerald Reed, Fort Worth, TX; grandmothers, Margaret Reiter, Muenster, TX and Mary Reed, Texarkana; nephew, Nathan Reed; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his two grandfathers, Alphonse Reiter and Raymond Reed.
     Pallbearers included; Gus Reiter, Larry Reiter, Tony Reiter, Stacey Hess, Rudy Hess and Gary Hess.

 

J.B. Laird...
    
J.B. Laird, age 92, of Nocona, TX passed away March 1, 2005 in a Nocona Nursing Home in Nocona, TX.
     Mr. Laird was born July 10, 1912 in Wichita Falls, TX to Amberson and Emma Laird. He married Bessie Jewel Gibson. She preceded him in death May 5, 1999. He was a truck driver and he served in the United States Army during WWII. Mr. Laird was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. 
Graveside services for Mr. Laird were held Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at 3:00 p.m. at Nocona Cemetery under the direction of Scott-Morris Funeral Home.
     Surviving relatives include: one son, Mike and wife Anna Laird, Leesburg, TX; two daughters, Shirley and husband L.C. Barnard, Anaheim, CA and Mary and husband Bill McLaughlin, Victorville, CA; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
     He was preceded in death by: his parents, his wife, and one son, Jimmy Dale Laird in 1969.
