Mrs. Geiger was born August 28, 1924 in Wichita Falls, TX to James S. and Mary Fikes McGlothlin. She was a secretary for Hobbs Trailer Company in Fort Worth, TX for many years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at 3:30 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery with David Hall officiating under the direction of The White Family Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: three children, George Geiger and his wife, Jan, Bowie, TX; Melanie Yale and her husband, Ronnie, Nocona, TX and Ken Geiger and his wife, Lea, North Richland Hills; six
grandchildren, Lisa and Kevin Geiger, Brittanie, Brandi, Breanna and Bailey Yale; and three great-grandchildren.

Interment was at the Bellevue Cemetery.
Shawn was born August 23, 2004 in Wichita Falls, TX. He was a beautiful blue eyed baby boy who was dearly loved by all who knew him. His smile and laughter will be greatly missed.

H.B. (Tubby) Emery, age 71 of Huntsville, AR passed away March 11, 2005 in North West Medical Center of Washington County at Springdale, AR.
Mr. Emery was born June 16m 1933 to Horas Bunion (H.B.) emery and Patsy Clonal Molsbee Emery. He was a truck driver, dairy farmer, Christian and Veteran. He was a 1952 graduate of Nocona High School.
Services were held Wednesday, March 16, 2005 in Huntsville, AR.

Hazel A. Davis, age 88, passed away March 8, 2005 in Fort Worth, TX.
Hazel was born June 16, 1916 in Mont Belvieu, TX to Wilson and Sarah Elmyra (Winfrey) Epperson. She married E.W. Davis, Jr. on May 23, 1962 in Fort Worth, TX. She worked over forty years in retail sales at Cox’s Department Store, now Stripling/Cox. She grew up in a close Christian home where her family was very important to her. She was loved by many and will be missed, but her family and friends take comfort knowing she is with her Lord.

Don Raymond McCanless, age 58, of Bowie, TX passed away March 12, 2005 in Bowie, TX.
Mr. McCanless was born April 30, 1946 in Fort Worth, TX. He married Claudia F. Hamilton on December 22, 1965. He was a bus driver for the Fort Worth for thirty - two years. He enjoyed working in the yard and maintaining his beautiful flower gardens.
Funeral services for Mr. McCanless were held Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at the Ebenezer Pentecostal Church with Ronnie Tucker officiating. Interment was at Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of The White Family Funeral Home.

James T. Chambless, age 74, of Nederland died, Sunday March 13, 2005 at Christus St. Elizabeth
Hospital in Bueamont.
Graveside services were held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at the Ringgold Cemetery in Ringgold, TX with Rev. Tommy Lamascus officiating. Services were under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland, TX.
Mr. Chambless was a native of Livingston and lived in Nederland since 1950. He retired from Atlantic Richfield in Groves as an operator with several years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Chambless, Nederland, TX; one daughter Katrina Janan Bennett, Nederland, TX; one son, Jaime Joe Chambless and wife Brenda, Nederland, TX; five grandchildren, Kimberly McMains, Clinton Chambless, Derek Chambless, Amber Escagne and Brandon Bennett; five great grandchildren, Hallie McMains, Macie McMains, Jessica King, Evan Escagne and Sammie Escagne.

Clara Dorcas (Hunter) Detjen, 93, a Bowie, TX resident since April, 1973, passed away on March 12, 2005 in Bowie Memorial Hospital.
She was born December 17, 1911 in Silverdale, TN to Robert Douglas and Gertrude (Kerr) Hunter. She married Richard L. Detjen and was a homemaker.
No memorial service was planned per Mrs. Detjen’s request.
Survivors include: one daughter, Dorcas “Bobbye” Vahle of Bowie, TX; five grandchildren, R.C. Johnson, Jr. of Chattanooga, TN, Robert Vahle of Bowie, TX, Kenneth Huff of FL, and Dorrie James and Rhondalea Grooms, both of Wichita Falls, TX; nine great grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Robert and Gertrude Hunter; husband, Richard L. Detjen; four brothers; three sisters; and one son, Richard Casuel Johnson.

Born April 15, 1925 in Daisetta, TX to Grover and Vivian Cummins Moor, Grover completed high school and some college. He was a veteran of the US Army during WWII and was a survivor of the famed Texas City explosion disaster. He had worked as an operator in oil refineries for a very long time. He married Reba M. Simmons on February 15, 1955 in Mississippi. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on February 15th of this year. He enjoyed tinkering with motorized machinery and shopping at flea markets; however his main interest in life was caring for his family. He was an outstanding provider, a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Reba Moor, Forestburg, TX; one daughter, Karen and husband T.J. Thomas, Forestburg, TX; one son, Joey and wife Nancy Moor, Dallas,
TX; four grandchildren, Danny and Kristin Smith and Amanda and David Moor; one sister, Eleanora Steen, Rye, TX; one brother, Wilbur Moor, Liberty, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Eileen Pickett and two brothers, Hershel and Ray Moor.

Freda Mae Ralph, age 79, of Nocona, TX passed away March 11, 2005 in the Nocona General Hospital in Nocona, TX.
Mrs. Ralph was born August 8, 1925 in Mt. Vernon, IN to Clarence and Laura Bell Erwin. She married James C. Ralph on December 22, 1944 and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and the Nocona Hospital Auxiliary.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ralph will be held Thursday, March 17, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Lamoin Champ officiating. Interment will be at the Fort Sill Cemetery under the direction of Scott Morris Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: her son, John F. & wife Luanne Ralph, CO; and one brother, Clarence and wife Rose Erwin, Nocona, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarenece and Laura Erwin, her husband James Ralph in 1998; and two sons, James Daniel Ralph and Michel Steven Ralph.

Mrs. Berniece Cantwell, 92, passed away March 9, 2005 at Bowie Nursing Center, Bowie, TX.
She was born December 19, 1912 in Vashti, TX to Charlie and Susan (Hodges)
Jopling. On June 29, 1932 she married Robert I. Cantwell in Decatur, TX. She was a bookkeeper in the oil industry. Mrs. Cantwell was a member of First Baptist Church in Bowie where she worked with the children’s department for over 40 years. She was a member of the church choir and the Esther Sunday School Class. Mrs. Cantwell was active in the Quarterback Club, and the Bowie Riding Club, and was an avid sports fan. Mrs. Cantwell was owner and operator of Cantwell Oil Co. for over 50 years, a lifetime rancher and a 1930 graduate of Bowie High School.
Funeral services were March 12, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Bowie with Rev. Mike Henson officiating. Fry Funeral Home directed the service.
Burial followed in Elmwood Cemetery.
Survivors include: two sons, James Cantwell and wife Joan and Jerry Cantwell and wife Carolyn, all of Bowie; six grandchildren, James Rowdy Cantwell, Jodie Renae Cantwell York and husband John, Jerry Rayce Cantwell and wife Shelly, Joel Robert Cantwell and wife Julianne, Judy Rae Cantwell Gelfert and husband Arne and Jennifer Ruth Cantwell Leedy and husband Robert.; four great grandchildren, Jaycie Renae York, John Calvin York, Robert Ivy Cantwell and Preston Charles Cantwell.

Walterscheid, 43, of Muenster, TX, was Friday, March 11, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Muenster with Rev. John Ohner OSA and Rev. Kyle Walterscheid officiating. Burial followed in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Muenster.
He was born January 24, 1962 to Donnie and Evelyn Walterscheid and grew up in Muenster. He attended Sacred Heart Schools and was a life long resident of Muenster. Mr. Walterscheid was a member of Sacred Heart Parish, Knights of Columbus and Muenster Golf Association. He bagan coaching Little League baseball shortly after graduation and coached for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf and yard work. Craig was a devoted father, husband and son. He worked as a postal clerk for 22 years in Denton and later in Gainesville where he was currently employed.
Survivors include: his wife, Donna of Muenster; daughter Ashley
Walterscheid; son, Chad Walterscheid, both of Muenster; his mother, Evelyn
Walterscheid; mother and father-in-law, Betty Ann and Don Flusche; brothers and sisters-in-law, Karl and Beth

She was born November 23, 1932 in Royce City, TX to Henry and Emma (Black) Rogers. On January 15, 1970 she married Roy Applewhite in Dallas, TX. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
Services were on Friday, March 11, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Post Oak, TX with
B.J. Nunley officiating. Fry Funeral Home of Bowie directed the service.
Burial followed in Post Oak Cemetery, Post Oak, TX.

Mrs. Mary Griffin, 86, a resident of Bowie, TX since 1945, passed away March 6, 2005 in Bellmire Healthcare, Bowie, TX.
She was born November 1, 1918 to Benjamin and Sallie (Caraway) Kilgore in McKinney, TX. On October 17, 1941 she married Alex Griffin in Fort Worth, TX. She was a homemaker and member of the First United Methodist Church in Bowie and sang in the choir. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Funeral services were on Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Bowie with Rev. Merwin Turner and Rev. Sara Hardaway officiating. Fry Funeral Home directed the services.
Burial followed in Elmwood Cemetery, Bowie, TX.
