Bertie Ray Admire...
Bertie Ray Admire, 89, of Nocona, TX,
passed away November 5, 2005 in Nocona, TX.
She was born July 18, 1916 in Bonita, TX to Stanford
Green and Eva Howard Cook. On February 2, 1939 she married Smith
Admire, who preceded her in death in 1968. Mrs. Admire was a homemaker
and a charter member of Veterans of World War I Auxilliary and the
American Legion Aus.
Funeral services for Mrs. Admire were Monday, November
7, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Jerry Woods Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dave
Woodbury officiating. Jerry Woods Funeral Home directed the service.
Burial followed in Nocona Cemetery.
Survivors include: two sons, Loyd Admire and Jerry
Admire, both of Nocona, TX; three grandchildren; and seven great
grandchildren.
Pallbearers were James Carpenter, Wes Morton, Roger
Russell, Ronny McNatt, Wylie Gadner and J.W. Nash.
She was preceded in death by her husband, six sisters
and five brothers.
Wesley Stewart Trout, Jr...
Wesley Stewart Trout, 87, passed away
Friday, November 4, 2005 in Bowie, TX.
He was born December 11, 1917 in Saratoga, TX to Wesley
Stewart, Sr. and Cecil (Hammer) Trout. He married Mildred Estelle
Farmer on April 27, 1947 in Weatherford, TX. Since he was fourteen
years old, he worked for various oil companies throughout Texas and
Oklahoma, before retiring from Bennett Oil Company. He enjoyed
fishing, watching Dallas Cowboys football games and spending time with
his family and grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Trout were on Monday, November
7, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at the Vashti Methodist Church with Revs. Lewis
Sleeth and Greg Fletcher officiating, under the direction of the White
Family Funeral Home.
Burial followed in Vashti Cemetery.
Mr. Trout is survived by: his wife, Mildred Trout of
Vashti, TX; children, Patsy Martin and her husband, George of Irving,
TX, Sue Wood and her husband, Wilbur of Brownwood, TX and Reta Spikes
and her husband, Troy of Bellevue, TX; fourteen grandchildren;
thirty-two great grandchildren; two sisters, Billie Simpson and her
husband, Melvin of Fort Worth, TX and Peggy Stevens and her husband,
Steve of Burleson, TX.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; two sisters,
Elizabeth Meadows and Jewel Mason; brother, David Trout; son, Wesley
Stewart Hayes; and daughter, Neta Gregory.
Pallbearers were Wesley Martin, Randy Wood, Kendall Spikes, Eric
Gregory, Andy Gregory and Dennis Gregory.

Opal Mildred Jackson, 88, passed away
Thursday, November 3, 2005 in Bowie, TX.
Opal was born January 17, 1917 in Bowie to Gaston and
Jessie Lee (Sanders) Jackson. She worked as a sales clerk for
Carroll’s, Lipscombs and Russell’s Department Stores. She was the
Pioneer Queen in the mid-eighties and was a member of First Baptist
Church.
Graveside services for Mrs. Jackson were Friday at 2:30
p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery with Rev. Mike Henson officiating, under the
direction of the White Family Funeral Home.
Survivors include: her niece, Cindy Benton and her
husband, Kevin of Bowie, TX; nephews, Mike Jackson and his wife, Keri
of Pflugerville, TX and Jeff Jackson of Flower Mound, TX; and
sister-in-law, LaNelle Jackson of Lewisville, TX.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; two sisters,
Mabel Harvison and Lucille Davis; two brothers, Bill and Dale Jackson;
and a nephew, Jerry Davis.

William D. Smith, 48, passed away October
26, 2005 in Harpers Ferry, WV.
He was born July 7, 1957 in La Mesa, CA to William
David and Joyce (Townsend) Smith. Mr. Smith served in the U.S. Army
and worked as a heavy equipment operator.
Funeral services were Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at
10:00 a.m. at Pleasant View Baptist Church in Bridgeport with Gary
Demmitt officiating, under the direction of White Family Funeral Home.
Survivors include: his mother, Jo Smith of Bowie, TX;
wife Barbara Holland of Harpers Ferry, WV; three daughters; one
step-daughter and one step-son; two granddaughters; one brother; and
three sisters.
He was preceded in death by his father, William David
Smith.
Ruby Miska...
Ruby Miska, 68, passed away Wednesday, November 2,
2005 in Bowie.
She was born June 24, 1937 in Ozark, AR to George and
Myrtle Smith. She worked as a cashier for various retail stores.
Graveside services were on Sunday, at 1:30 p.m. at
Elmwood Cemetery, Bowie, with Coy White officiating, under the
direction of the White Family Funeral Home.
Survivors include: her children, Russell Conley of
Ingram, TX, Mike Conley, Billy Conley, Rita Conley, all of Ozark, AR,
Denise Belt of Clarksville, AR, Dennis Conley of Odessa, TX, Robert
Conley of Colorado City, TX and Tonya Ybarra of Bowie, TX.
She was preceded in death by her son, Larry Conley and
husband, Pete Ybarra.
Kenneth King “KK” Reeves...
Kenneth King “KK” Reeves, 84, passed away November 3, 2005 in Eldorado,
OK
He was born March 31, 1921 to Homer and Elizabeth Jane West Reeves.
Mr. Reeves married Alice King on October 10, 1945. Mr. Reeves was a
farmer and rancher and served in WWII, where he received the Purple
Heart.
Funeral services and burial for Mr. King were November 5, 2005 at 2:00
p.m. at the Oak Wood Cemetery, Jacksboro, TX, under the direction of
Scott Morris Funeral Home of Nocona, TX.
Survivors include: his wife, Alice Reeves of Montague, TX; a daughter,
Zarsey Reeves of Montague; one sister; one brother; two grandchildren;
six great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Leo Blahuta, Henry Berry, Todd Minor, Bill Riley,
Michael Riley, Johnny Riley and Steven Riley. Honorary pallbearers
were Vernard Brown and Scotter Cramer.
Estelle Donald Young...
Estelle Donald Young, 86, passed away Monday, November 7, 2005 in
Sunset, TX.
Estelle was born December 13, 1918 in Newport, TX to Lilburn and Roxie
(Hayes) Catlin. She married Cecil V. “Cy” Young in March of 1980. She
was a homemaker and was involved in managing real estate and ranching.
In the 1960’s she was precinct chairman for Montague County.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 10, 2005 at 10:00
a.m. at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Sara Hardaway officiating,
under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Survivors include: her husband, Cecil “Cy” Young of Sunset, TX; son,
Robert Donald and his wife, Mary Nell of Sunset, TX; stepchildren, Jan
Reddick and her husband, Richard of Ada, OK, Kay-Lynn Lyon and her
husband, Rick of Dallas, TX and Randy Young of Dallas, TX; two
grandchildren; four step grandchildren; six step great grandchildren;
brother, L.E. Catlin and his wife, Nina of Jacksboro, TX; and numerous
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her first husband, Robert C. Donald;
parents, Lilburn and Roxie Catlin; and brother, Ernest Catlin.
