Dale Miller...
     Dale Miller, 74, of Lubbock, TX, passed away May 4, 2005.
     Mr. Miller was born February 24, 1931 in Langley, Arkansas and married Billie Davis October 7, 1950. He owned and operated Dale Miller Pharmacy for thirty-five years before retiring. He attended Southcrest Baptist Church.
     A memorial service was on Friday, May 6, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Southcrest Baptist Church. Burial was at 10:00 am. Saturday, May 7, 2005 at Montague Cemetery, Montague, TX. Jerry Woods Funeral Home directed the graveside service.
     Survivors include: his wife, Billie Miller of Lubbock, TX; two children, Pam Gilkerson of Temple, TX and Steve Miller of Lubbock, TX; one sister, Annis Patton of Canyon, TX; one brother, Arkie Miller of Denton, TX; one sister-in-law, Bess Miller of Denton, TX; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
     He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

 

John Willis Bennett...
     John Willis Bennett, 87, passed away Friday, May 13, 2005 in Bowie.
     Mr. Bennett was born December 15, 1917 in Milton, TX to William Tom and Minnie (Monk) Bennett. He married Francis M. Edwards on August 4, 1935 in Hugo, OK. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Bowie. Mr. Bennett served his country in the U.S. Navy. He retired from the Texas Department of Corrections in Angelton, TX after twenty-four years of service.
     Funeral services were Sunday, May 15, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. in the Drawing Room of Whites’ Family Funeral Home in Bowie with Rev. Sara Hardaway officiating, under the direction of Whites Funeral Home.
Graveside services were Monday, May 16, 2005 at Highland Cemetery in Deport, TX.
     Survivors include: his wife of sixty-nine years, Francis Bennett of Bowie, TX; son John D. Bennett and his wife, Helen of Bellevue, TX; daughter Joan Been and her husband, Jerry of College Station, TX; daughter, Jannetta Tillman and her husband, Joe of Houston, TX; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
      He was preceded in death by: his parents, William and Minnie Bennett; and two sons, James Bennett and Melvin Bennett.
     Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Bowie, TX.



 

Janice Sue Perry...
    
Janice Sue Perry, 62, of Nocona, TX, passed away May 10, 2005 in Wichita Falls, TX.
      Ms. Perry was born January 10, 1944 in Alamo, TX to Travis D. and Arvilla Jones.
      A memorial service was on Saturday, May 14, 2005 at the Gazebo in Nocona Cemetery. Arrangements were directed by Scott Morris Funeral Home of Nocona.
     Survivors include: children, Shonna D. Knabe of Iowa Park, TX and Vivian S. Fotheree of Nocona, TX; two grandchildren; and two sisters, Pat Hickey of Bowie, TX and Ruby Eldred of Nocona, TX.
     The family requests memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls or the donors favorite charity.

 

Howard Anthony Hess...
     Howard Anthony Hess, 50, of Muenster, TX, passed away on May, 11, 2005 at Muenster Memorial Hospital.
     Mr. Hess was born June 18, 1954 in Gainesville, TX to Archie and Emma Lou Hess. He attended Sacred Heart and Muenster public schools and was a lifetime member of the Sacred Heart Parish. He worked for 25 years as a machinist for Valenite in Muenster and Gainesville, TX. He was a welding specialist. On November 26, 1995, he married Lori Bewley.
     Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2005 at Sacred Heart Church in Muenster, TX with Rev. John Ohner, O.S.A., officiating. Burial followed in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
     Survivors include: his wife, Lori Hess of Muenster, TX; three daughters, Tanya Baldwin and Casey Bewley, both of Muenster, TX and Janet Blanton of Gainesville, TX; four sons, Willie Hess of Myra, Waylon Hess, Jacob Hess and Seth Bewley, all of Muenster, TX; three sisters, Donna Biffle and Linda Luttner of Muenster, TX and Tammy Hess of Muskogee, OK; three brothers, Brent, Troy and Mike Hess, all of Muenster, TX; four grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and LuLu Gehrig Hess and one sister, Kathy Hess.
     Pallbearers were Chris Hess, Chris D. Hess, Giles Walterscheid, Gary Muller, Tony Grewing, Steve Fette, Jack Biffle and Aaron Hess.
