Tommy Lynn Harrison, Jr., 43, of Muenster, TX, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2006 near Lindsay, TX.
He was born February 1, 1963 in Hampton, VA to Tommy Lynn and Valeria Carter Harrison. He worked as a material handler for Peterbilt since 1983. On June 7, 1988 he married Laura Grewing at Sacred Heart Church. Tommy was a member of Lake Cities United Methodist Church in Lake Dallas, TX.
Funeral services were Thursday, October 19, 2006 at Sacred Heart Church in Muenster with Rev. John Peel officiating. Services were directed by McCoy Funeral Home of Muenster.
Burial followed in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Survivors include: his wife, Laura Harrison; daughter Heather Harrison; son Tommy Harrison, III, of Muenster; parents, Tommy Lynn and Valeria Harrison of Corinth; sisters, Laura Fernberg of Corinth and Patricia Davidson of Homosassa, FL.
Pallbearers were Lester Fortenberry, Mike Kelley, Bruce Harrison, Wayne Grewing, Mark Sicking and Brad Barrett.

Elizabeth “Beth” Alene Wilson, 46, passed away October 21, 2006 in Nocona, TX.
She was born July 24, 1960 in Gorman, TX to Thomas Bray and Juanita Allcock Smith.
Funeral services were Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Scott-Morris Chapel, under the direction of Scott Morris Funeral Home.
Survivors include: her parents, Thomas & Nancy Smith of Nocona, TX; brother, Martin Smith of Kaufman, TX; eight nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Beth was preceded in death by: her mother and two brothers.

Joann Richards, 49, of Nocona, Tx, passed away October 23, 2006 in Nocona.
She was born May 30, 1957 in Dallas, TX to Hazel Graham and Johnny Sampson. On September 5, 1975 she married Don Richards in Gainesville, TX. Mrs. Richards worked in housekeeping and laundry at Nocona Nursing Center. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Funeral services were Wedneday, Oct. 25, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Jerry Woods Funeral Chapel with Rev. Don Hendrix officiating. Burial followed in Nocona Cemetery, under the direction of Jerry Woods Funeral Home.
Survivors include: her mother, Hazel Sampson; her husband, Don Richards of Nocona; one son, Jerry Wayne Richards of Ft. Worth, Tx; two daughters, Amy Johnson of Denton, TX and Kim Richards of Bowie, TX; six sisters, Carol McKinny, Doris Welch, Judy Harris, Dorothy Sampson, Loretta Russell and Phyllis Jeffcoat; five brothers, John, Jimmy, Danny James and Allen Sampson; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers were David Barnett, Jason Johnson, Michael Smith, Sam Osborn, Joseph McKinney and Danny Sampson.

James Lee Hunt, 50, passed away Friday, October 21, 2006 in Bowie, TX.
He was born February 6, 1956 in Adrian, MI to James Sr. and Betty Hunt. He worked 20 years for the city of Clinton. On August 7, 2004, he married Sherry Woods in Nocona, Tx and worked for Foster Radiator Shop. James was a member of the Bible Way Mission in Nocona.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Drawing Room of the White Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Stoneburg, TX. Arrangements entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home.
Survivors include: his wife, Sherry Hunt of Bowie, TX; children, Amanda Hunt of Ohio, Krystal Dunn of Bridgeport, TX, Jennifer Reeves of Poolsville, Gayla Hammons of Bowie, TX; two sons, Jerrery Young of Bowie, TX and Leon Young of Tishomingo, OK; three grandchildren; fifteen other grandchildren; six sisters, Patsy Glisten, Ruth Smith, Doris Shumeate, Eva Jones, Christine Strom and Elsie Phillips; two brothers, David and Eugene Phillips of Montana.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Harold H. Howard, 73, of Nocona, TX, passed away October 22, 2006.
He was born June 5, 1933 in Spanish Fort, TX to Beatrice Hunter and Eddy Howard. Howard worked as a pumper and as a rancher. He had attended Jean’s Mens’ Bible Class.
Funeral services were Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Nocona, under the direction of Scott Morris Funeral Home of Nocona.
Survivors include: one daughter, Lou Ann Shipley of Nocona, TX; two sons, David and Sam Howard, both of Nocona, TX; eleven grandchildren; and two brothers, Phil and Jimmy Dale Howard, both of Nocona, TX.
Mr. Howard was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Donna.

Mary Ann Noel, 67, of Nocona, TX, passed away October 20, 2006 in Nocona.
She was born November 5, 1938 in Gasden, Alabama. Mary was retired from the Nocona Police Department, where she was a dispatcher.
Funeral services were Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Nocona with Dave Woodbury officiating. Scott-Morris Funeral Home of Nocona directed the service.
Survivors include: one daughter, Tracy Roberson of Nocona, TX; one son, Mile Noel of Nocona, TX; close family friend, Debbie Durgan of Nocona, TX; one grandchild; four adopted grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Augusta Waters of Gasden, Alabama.
Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Quintella West, husband, Earl Noel, and two brothers.
David Woodrow Griffis...
David Woodrow Griffis, 80, of Wichita Falls, TX, and formerly of Saint Jo, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2006 in Wichita Falls.
He was born November 4, 1919 in Saint Jo, TX to William Piner and Willie Bell Davis Griffis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII and a retired machinist with Texas Instruments. Mr. Griffis was a member of First Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge. He was an honorable man, who always put others above himself.
Funeral services were Friday, October 13, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the McCoy Funeral Chapel in Saint Jo, TX with C.E. Cole officiating. Burial followed in New Harp Cemetery in Montague County, under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Saint Jo.
Survivors include: his siblings, Margaret Hovis of Lawton, OK and Tilford Griffis of Saint Jo, TX; and many other loving family members.
Memorials may be made to the Saint Jo Volunteer Fire Department.
JW White...
JW White, 79, passed away Monday, October 16, 2006 in Forestburg, TX.
JW was born April 26, 1927 in Granbury, TX to Charles Clarence and Nora (Mitchell) White. He married Bobbie Daniel on February 15, 1949. In 1960 he started White’s Bulldozer Service and was a contractor until his retirement in 1994.
Funeral services were Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Drawing Room at the White Family Funeral Home with Edwin Rentfro officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home.
Burial followed at the Perryman Cemetery, Forestburg, TX.
Survivors include: his wife of 57 years, Bobbie White of Forestburg; three children, Judy Moore and Beth Dill, both of Forestburg and Wesley White of Tioga, TX; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother, Clinton White of Granbury; four sisters, Lou Dempsey of Granbury, Jean Monday of Glen Rose, Beverly Hayworth and Lynn Freeman, both of Granbury; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, three sisters and one son-in-law.
