Bobby Ray Lemons...
     Bobby Ray Lemons, 69, passed away Sunday, February 26 in Denton, Texas.
     Memorial Services were held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 4 in the Drawing Room of the White Family Funeral Home with Brother Vernon Shaw officiating under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home.
     Bobby was born March 30, 1936 to Lloyd and Faye (Grimsley) Lemons. He graduated from Goldburg High School in 1955 and worked as a pipeline welder for various companies for forty years until his retirement. He married Debra Lemons on August 28, 1998 in Bowie. He loved to play Forty-Two and Texas Holdem. Bobby enjoyed the outdoors fishing and bird hunting.
     He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Faye Lemons; and daughter, Amanda Bryant.
     He is survived by his wife, Debra Lemons of Bowie; children, Sherry Blevins of Dallas, Terry Woods and her husband, Ronnie of Bowie, Greg Lemons of Fort Worth, Tracy Clary and his wife, Nancy of Fort Worth, Yale Clark II of Bowie, Jole Clark and Stacy Trayler of Bowie, Judy Clark of Sunset, Jaclyn Romine of Bowie, Jody Rogers and husband, James V of Bowie; twenty grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and his previous wife, Sybil Lovelace of Fort Worth.

 

Clarence Earl “Sonny” Fugate...
     Clarence Earl “Sonny” Fugate, 67, passed away March 3, 2006 at Bellmire Healthcare Facilities.
     He was born February 5, 1939 in Washington, OK to William and Ethel Ringer Fugate.
      A memorial service for Mr. Fugate was on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Ocheleta, OK, under the direction of Scott Morris Funeral Home.
     Survivors include: three children, Donald Gene Fugate, Sandra Lee Fugate and Lori Ann Fugate; one brother, Bill Fugate; five sisters, Phyllis Fugate, Carolyn Haney, Mary Ann Baker, Clare Mae Fugate and Shirley Leason; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.

 

Martha Lou Owens Mosley...
    
Martha Lou Owens Mosley passed away Sunday, March 5, 2006.
     She was born December 6, 1917 in Cooke County, TX. She was a longtime resident of both Montague and Galveston counties. Martha Lou married John Vaudrey Mosley on January 26, 1945 in Galveston. She worked for various companies and later taught school in Hitchcock and Saint Jo Independent School district. She was a member of the International Lioness Club, the Retired Teachers Association, the Montague County Historical Commission and the Saint Jo Church of Christ.
     Funeral services were Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Chapel.
Burial followed at Mountain Park Cemetery in Saint Jo, TX.
      Pallbearers were Herschel Boyd, Myles, Caldwell, Robert Hutchins, Stewart Leonard, Roger Russell and Clyde Yetter.
      Survivors include: her daughter, Nancy Lou Mosley; two grandchildren; one brother-in-law; one sister-in-law; and three nieces.
     She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two sisters and one brother.

 

Leonard (L.C.) Rolls...
      Leonard (L.C.) Rolls, 81, of Bowie, TX, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2006 in Decatur, TX.
     Funeral services were at 4:00 p.m. Saturday in the Drawing Room of the White Family Funeral Home with Sonny Cole officiating, under the direction of White Family Funeral Home.
     Military burial followed in Tage Cemetery.
     He was born May 16, 1924 in Nocona, TX to Harrison G. and Annie L. (Vowell) Rolls. He married Billie Fern Zahn of Saint Jo, TX on May 18, 1945 in Waurika, OK. L.C. was baptized in the Nocona Church of Christ in 1949. He served as a deacon for five years at the Northside Church of Christ in Duncan, OK.
     He served in the U.S. Army and fought in WWII. He was wounded in action while in Northern France in January of 1945. He received the American Medal, the E.A.M.E. Theater Ribbon with three battle stars, the Good Conduct Medal, the WWII Victory Medal, the distinguished Unit Emblem, the Bronze Star, and the Purple Heart, awarded for distinguished and honorable service to his country. He was employed as a machinist by Halliburton Company in Duncan, OK for thirty-four years and retired in July of 1985.
     L.C. will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, and a doting grandfather. He had a wonderful sense of humor, he loved to laugh and entertain others with his many stories. His bright smile and his willingness to help others were unique that made him special.
     He was preceded in death by his parents.
     He is survived by: his wife of sixty-one years, Billie Rolls of Bowie, Tx; two daughters, Sheila Sanders and her husband, Bob and Sherry Hall and her husband, Bob, all of Denver, CO; four grandchildren, Kari Zike of Florence, KY, Todd Sanders and his wife, Fran of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Kristen Coulter and her husband, Rob of Denver, CO; and Traci Hubler and her husband, Dwayne of Denver, CO; three great granddaughters; one great-grandson; and numerous cousins. Other special relatives include the Faye Meyer family, the Pauline Johnson family, the Louise Zahn family, the Alisha Pounds family, the Judy Skidmore family, the Kay Stanfield family and the Johnnie Cagle White family.
      Pallbearers were Ray Zahn, Skip Zahn, Blaine Pounds, Gary Meyer, Dean Myers, Steven Hays.

Edward (Debe) Lodebar Dutton...
     Edward (Debe) Lodebar Dutton, 91, passed away Friday, March 3, 2006 in Henrietta, TX.
      Funeral services were at 3:00 p.m. Sunday in the Drawing Room of the White Family Funeral Home with John Fleming officiating, under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home.
Burial followed in Ringgold Cemetery.
     Debe was born February 7, 1915 in Sadler, TX to John and Ollie (Turner) Dutton. He married Louise Sanders on August 5, 1935 in Ringgold. He worked as rancher and brakeman for Santa Fe Railroad. Throughout the years, he became known for his passion to ride and break horses and run cattle. He opened Dutton Furniture Store in Bowie and was the first to sell and repair TVs in Bowie. Later, he ranched at the Fowler Ranch in Stoneburg where the first cattle came in on the railroad. He retired to Bellevue in the early seventies.
     Debe was an avid student of the Bible, the almanac and astrology. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Bowie. He was an active member of the Bowie Masonic Lodge #578. He also was chairman for the West Texas Rehab. His love was gardening and he was known for growing hot peppers. He lived his life as a rancher and a gentleman.
     He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Ollie Dutton; brothers, Vestal, Sam and Melvin Dutton and twin brothers, Leslie and Wesley Dutton.
     He is survived by: his wife of seventy years, Louise Dutton of Bellevue; sister, Frances Ham of Granbury and numerous nieces and nephews.
     Pallbearers were Tom Henry, Gary Prater, Buddy Braddy, Phil Staley, Mark Hanson and Lee Moss.
     Honorary pallbearers were Alton Cox, Joe Staley, Virgil Koetter, Nat Fleming, Chad Davis and David Payne.

Edith Craven Hall...
     Edith Craven Hall, 87, of Nocona, TX, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2006 in Nocona.
     She was born February 26, 1919 in Ivanhoe, TX to James Ruel and Gladys Elizabeth Sims Mize. On May 24, 1941 she married George Ray Craven. He preceded her in death in 1967. She was a waitress and later was a clinical assistant. In September, 1968 she married Pete Hall. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star and VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
     Graveside services for Mrs. Hall were at Pilot Point Community Cemetery at 11:00 a..m Saturday, March 4, 2006 with Bro. Larry Miller officiating. Scott Morris Funeral Home directed the service.
     She is survived by: a daughter, Georganne Craven Bowles of Nocona, TX; one son, Ray Hall of Mansfield, TX; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
     She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother.

 

Sammy Arnold Miller...
     Sammy Arnold Miller, 63, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2006 in Wichita Falls, TX.
     Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Forestburg with Stewart Halloway officiating, under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home.
     Burial followed at Mallard Cemetery in Forestburg.
      Sammy was born September 1, 1942 in Mallard, TX to Jack and Syble (Tompkins) Miller. He graduated from Forestburg High School in 1960. He worked as a truck driver for various trucking companies for thirty-five years. He married Susan Fall in July of 1992. He liked watching sports on TV and enjoyed spending time outdoors and being around his friends and family.
     He is preceded in death by his step-daughter, Lisa Hollingsworth.
     He is survived by: his wife, Susan Miller of North Richland Hills; son Stephen Miller andhis wife, Lisa of Denton, TX; stepson, Chad Good of Keller; stepdaughter, Gina Newman and her husband, Jon of Portland, OR; two brothers, Royce Miller and wife Betty of Mallard, Rex Miller and wife, Sharon of Forestburg; three sisters, JoNelle Fenoglio and husband Russell of Montague, Jackie Scott and husband Hop of Nocona and Wilma Roads and husband, Jack of Hurst; two grandchildren, Taylor Hollingsworth and Cru Newman.
