Ruby Dell Conatser, 81, of Bowie, passed away May 27, 2008 in Bowie.
 She was born on January 19, 1927 to K.C. and Beulah Crawford. She married Edwin B. Conatser on June 20, 1948. He preceded her in death on December 31, 2000. She was a member of the First Freewill Church.
 Funeral services were at J.E. Foust Funeral Home in Grapevine, TX on May 30, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. The viewing was May 29, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
 She is survived by: one brother, J.T. Crawford and wife, Bobby of Tyler, TX; two sons, Jimmy Conatser and wife, Debby of Bowie, TX and Dennis Conatser and wife, Reba of Phoenix City, AL; daughter-in-law, Becky Hallstrom and husband, Glen of Oklahoma; three grandsons, one granddaughter; two great grandsons; and Pastor and dear friend, Billy Waller.
 She was preceded in death by: parents, K.C. and Beulah Crawford and two brothers, Bill Crawford and wife, Dot and Bobby Crawford.
 Pallbearers were Tommy and Scott Crawford, Derek and Reagan Conatser, Tomas Tucker and Arvill Bess, Jr.

Mary Lou McCandless, 71, of Forestburg, TX, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2008 in Forestburg.
 She was born August 29, 1936 in Decatur, TX to Virgil Dalton Loyd and Myrtle Via Rosenberg Loyd. She married Cecil Dale McCandless on August 1, 1953 in Montague, TX and took on many careers and hobbies.
 Funeral services were at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Forestburg Methodist Church with Reverends Larry Coleman and Sam Campbell officiating. Burial followed in Perryman Cemetery in Forestburg, under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Saint Jo, TX.
 She is survived by: daughter, Brenda McCandless Lively Gordon of Forestburg; brothers, Gene Grundy and Virgil (Sonny) Loyd, both of Decatur; sisters, Mildred Cauthen of Decatur, Martha Lindsey of Oklahoma City, OK, Alice Lawson of Runaway Bay, TX and Kay Davis of Slidell; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 

Rosa Rose, 51, of Nocona, TX, passed away May 28, 2008 in Hospice of Wichita Falls, TX.
 She was born January 19, 1957 in Bowie, TX to Lindy and Billie Bates.
 Private memorial services will be at 8:00 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2008 at McDonald Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Heritage Family Funeral Home of Bowie.

 

Bille Jackson Dennison, 81, of Saint Jo, TX, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2008 in Saint Jo.
 She was born October 2, 1926 in the Hardy-Forestburg, TX area to Ollie and Bailey Landers Jackson. She married James “Jim” Dennison in Gainesville, TX on February 19, 1952 and was a homemaker.
 Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at the McCoy Funeral Chapel in Saint Jo, with Reverend Sam Campbell officiating. Burial followed in Mountain Park Cemetery in Saint Jo. Services were under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Saint Jo.
 She is survived by: sons, James A. Dennison, Jr. of Lindsay, TX and Billy “Brad” Dennison of Saint Jo, TX; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sisters, Zelda Swartfager of Inwood, WV, Lillie Lemons of Nocona, TX, Betty Roberts of Waurika, OK and Jackie Ridinger of Dean, TX.

 

Marie B. (Pels) Knauf, 87, of Muenster, TX, passed away Monday, June 2, 2008 in Muenster.
 She was born March 21, 1921 in Muenster to Henry J. and Anna M. (Lummel) Pels. She married Joseph M. Knauf on August 28, 1940 and was a homemaker.
 Mass of Christian burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Sacred Heart Church in Muenster, with Fr. Ken Robinson, Celebrant. Services are directed by McCoy Funeral Home of Muenster.
 She is survived by: daughters, Eunice M. Wimmer of Lindsay, TX, Annette Walterscheid and Eileen Schilling, both of Muenster; sons, Leon and Milton Knauf, both of Muenster; twelve grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; sisters, Clara Walterscheid and Agnella Martin, both of Muenster; sister-in-law, Regina Pels of Muenster; and brother-in-law, Ed Knauf of Muenster.

 

Calvin James Otto, 48, of Ravensdale, WA, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2008 near Seattle, WA.
 He was born August 5, 1959 in Muenster, TX to Ray and Billie Otto. He went to North Texas State University, graduating with a Bachelor’s in Business.
 Mass of Christian burial was at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Sacred Heart Church in Muenster with Fr. Ken Robinson as Celebrant. Burial followed in Sacred Heart Cemetery, under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Muenster.
 He is survived by: mother, Lillian (Billie) Reinart of Muenster; step-father, Vincent (Doc) Reinart of Muenster; sister, Cheryl Otto Felderhoff of Garland; brother, Doug Otto of Arlington, TX; two nieces: and two nephews.

 

Charles Hugh Bowen, 75, of Saint Jo, TX, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2008 in Nocona, TX.
 He was born August 6, 1932 in Montague County to Luke and Susan Harvey Bowen. He served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955 and was transferred to reserve service. He was a Baptist.
 Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2008 at the McCoy Funeral Chapel in Saint Jo with CE Cole officiating. Burial followed in McGrady Cemetery, under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Saint Jo.
 He is survived by: brother, Carl Bowen and wife, Onnie of Azle, TX.

 

Jennifer Pitman Jason, 35, of Bowie, TX, passed away June 1, 2008 in Decatur, TX.
 She was born in Wheatridge, CO on September 15, 1972 to Richard and SanDee Pitman. She married Rodney Jason October 10, 1998, moved to Bowie in March of 2008 and was a customer service representative with Poco Graphite.
 Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at First United Methodist Church of Decatur. Arrangements are entrusted to White Family Funeral Home of Bowie.
 She is survived by: husband, Rodney Jason of Bowie; parents, Richard and SanDee Pitman of Sunset; sister, Amanda Lovette of Decatur; grandmother, Lou Pitman of Decatur; aunt, Carol Eilts; grandmother, Beryl Free; one cousin; one uncle and aunt; two nephews; and two second cousins.

 

Phil Douglas Howard, 87, of Nocona, TX, passed away May 28, 2008 in Wichita Falls, TX.
 He was born February 17, 1921 in Nocona to Ed and Beatrice (Hunter) Howard. He served in the United States Air Force and married Audra Goldsmith on November 30, 1949 in Spanish Fort, TX. He was a rancher and a member of Spanish Fort Baptist Church
 Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2008 at First Baptist Church of Nocona, with Reverend Dave Woodbury officiating. Burial followed in Liberty Chapel Cemetery in Montague County. Arrangments were under the direction of Jerry Woods Funeral Home of Nocona.
 He is survived by: wife, Audra Howard of Nocona; daughter, Denise Groves of Wichita Falls; sons, Danny Howard of Gainesville, TX and Gary Howard of Folsom, CA; brother, Jimmy Dale Howard of Nocona; and seven grandchildren.

 

Peggy Sue Posey, 67, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2008 in Bowie, TX.
 She was born September 24, 1940 in Bowie, TX to Aubrey ‘Blackie’ and Sybil (Brumfield) Beasley. She attended high school in Bowie and married Donald Posey on August 11, 1981 in Mineral Wells, TX. She was a seamstress for JCI Drapery Company, Howard Woolf Dress Company and later, Marlin Manufacturing. She also worked for Krispy Chicken some twenty years. She enjoyed painting and refinishing antique furniture. Peggy cherished her family and the many friendships throughout her life.
 Graveside services were at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2008 at Oak Hill Cemetery with Jamie Reed officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home of Bowie.
 She is survived by her husband, Donald Posey of Bowie; two sons, Monte Covington and wife, Patti of Bowie and Bryan Covington and wife, Tammy of Wichita Falls; brothers, Bill Beasley and wife, Alice and Larry Beasley and wife, Inez, all of Bowie; two sisters, Shirley Haney and husband, Don and Belinda Mahaffey and husband, Jerry, all of Bowie; two grandsons, Clifton and Colby Covington; two granddaughters, Ashley Handyside and husband, Jeremy and Staci Covington, all of Bowie; one great granddaughter, Bailey Handyside of Bowie; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Jean Meyers, of Bowie.
 She is preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Sybil Beasley.

 She was born May 23, 2008 in Wichita Falls, TX to Chuck and Reena Brookings.
 Graveside services were at 10:00 a.m. Monday May 26, 2008 at Elmwood Cemetery with Reverend Mike Roberson officiating. Arrangements were made by Heritage Family Funeral Home of Bowie, TX.
 She is survived by: parents, Chuck and Reena Brookings of Wichita Falls; sister, Gracie Brookings of Wichita Falls; grandparents, Charles and Nora Brookings of Denton, TX and Jerry and Sue McLendon of Bowie, TX; great grandparents, J.C. And Marie Stanton of New Castle, TX and Daisy McLendon of Bowie; numerous cousins; and several aunts and uncles.

 

Annie Ruth Clepper, 80, of Nocona, TX, passed away May 29, 2008 in Nocona.
 She was born April 16, 1928 in Grandview, TX to Jasper Claude and Flossie Myrtle (Roane) Taylor. She married Hubert Yancey Clepper in Weatherford, TX in 1969 and was a homemaker.
 Graveside services were at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 2, 2008 at Grandview Cemetery in Grandview, TX, with Reverend Jack McBride officiating. Arrangments were under the direction of Jerry Woods Funeral Home of Nocona.
 She is survived by: children, Linda Morrow of Duncan, OK; Larry Whitfield of Nocona, Dwain Whitfield and Billy Whitfield, both of Valley View, TX; brothers, Horace Taylor of Rio Vista, TX and Lester Taylor of Waxahachie, TX; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

 

 James Albert York, 86, of Nocona, TX, passed away May 29, 2008 in Nocona.
 He was born August 30, 1921 in Waurika, OK to James Sylas and Hattie (Bell) York. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and married Pauline Patton on May 16, 1953 in Midland, TX. He was a member of Abundant Life Church of Nocona and a farmer.
 Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2008 at Abundant Life Church of Nocona, with Reverend Rod Messer officiating. Burial followed in Spanish Fort Cemetery in Spanish Fort, TX. Arrangements were under the direction of Jerry Woods Funeral Home of Nocona.
 He is survived by: wife, Pauline York of Spanish Fort, TX; daughters, Karen Burks of Wichita Falls, TX and Lynn Cantu of Nocona; sons, David York, Sr. of Nocona, John York of Terral, OK; Michael York of Gainesville, TX; James Dale York of Nocona and Robert Gayle York of Gainesville; seventeen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
