Margie L. Jones, 77, of Nocona, TX, passed away Wednesday,
June 4, 2008 in Nocona.
She was born June 5, 1930 in Big Springs, TX to Austin and Elsie (Self)
Watts. She married Eldon Jones and worked with him, driving a dump
truck.
Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2008 at the
Shepherd of The Hills Church, with Reverend Ricky Wayne Jones
officiating. Burial followed in Nocona Cemetery. Services were under the
direction of Scott-Morris Funeral Home of Nocona.
She is survived by: husband, Eldon Jones of Nocona; son, Ronny Lee
Jones of Anchorage, AL; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren;
and two brothers, Bill Watts of Sanger, TX and Austin Watts of Santa
Anna, TX.
Sammy Ray “Sam” Elder, 71, of Saint Jo, TX, passed away
Tuesday, June 3, 2008.
He married Shirley Ann Phillips at First Baptist Church in Bossier City
and was a dentist.
Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2008 at Plymouth
Park Baptist Church in Irving, with Reverend Ken Branam officiating.
Burial followed in Pioneer Cemetery in Saint Jo. Services were under the
direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Saint Jo.
He is survived by: children; grandchildren; and many relatives.
Don B. Frazier, 74, passed away Monday, June 9, 2008 in Bowie,
TX.
Don was born October 8, 1933 to Roy Clifton and Etta Mae (Barger)
Frazier in Bomarton, TX. He was raised in Midland and graduated from
Midland High School in 1951. He attended Tarleton State University for a
year before serving his country in the United States Army as Private
First Class. Don was stationed in Germany from December of 1954 to 1956
in the 10th Infantry Division. He then returned to the United States and
worked for the Department of Public Safety as a trooper for twenty-five
years until his retirement. He served as a constable in Montague County
Precinct 2 for four years. Don married Garlene McWilliams on October 30,
1986 in Bowie.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2008 in the
Drawing Room of the White Family Funeral Home, with Reverend Ron Abbott
officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements are
entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home of Bowie.
Don is survived by: wife, Garlene Frazier of Bowie; children, Donna
Marie Cooper of Bowie and Dianna Hughs and husband, Volney of Nederland;
step-daughter, Marlyn Shirey and husband, Wayne of Bowie; four
grandchildren, Stephanie Brewer, Danielle Buckley, Desiree Cooper and
Kevin Williams; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; son, Byron Emory Frazier on
February 25, 1998: and brother, Roy Wayne Frazier.
